I’m itching to buy this one since i’m curious with the product, i already have an apple tv 4k and the tv is an android tv, do i get a better experience or better feature with the shield than android tv? Also i read it can record live tv shows via an app, do you guys use it here in Manila is it compatible? Thanks in advance :) so far the only advantage i can think of is it can run a plex server and directly place my hard drives and the recording features

Also just to add, manila users are able to use the ok google functionality, including hands free via the remote control? thanks in advance :)

cool, thanks bro! using Kodi ba? yung MiBox ko kasi may issue with Kodi reading external HDD after updated to Oreo pero using ES explorer eh ok naman. kaya yung friend ko na naka Nvidia eh nag worry na baka same issue might happen to him.

The latest update of the MiBox fixed the Kodi not reading NTFS files.

it's been few weeks ago when I started to notice that my 2017 Shield controller doesn't charge anymore.  i have to put it plugged-in for me to use it.  quite depressing as it becomes a 'wired' controller now for power.  I sit 8ft away from the Shield but we have a socket beside my couch anyway

luckily yesterday, I was able to find out how to pair my PS4 Dualshock controller with the Shield =))  it works perfectly except for the missing Home button function.  I rather just have to press Back button function several times depending on where I am to go back to the Home screen.

able to save/re-use an existing controller so I wouldn't need buy a new one, which I find too expensive. =))

You can also download the Android TV app on your Android Phone and use it to control your Shield, and it has a home button ;)

HAHAHA i found the Home button function on the PS4 controller now = PS button

I had the TV remote app for iOS and have tried it.  problem is, I have 2 WiFi's at home so upon turn on of my Shield, I would know which Wi-Fi it connected.  so I wouldn't know to which WiFi my iPhone should connect to (hehe) I stopped using it and just used the 'wire-powered' controller

thanks, sir!

oh that's very good.  Prayer answered hehehe  because I think during Oreo update when I discovered the long press of Back button to access Settings --> Sleep.  Then to turn off, you have to go to About which takes several button presses more.

now with update 7.1, they offered both Restart & Power Off right there!

yup bro, swerte lang... =))

kahit XBox One controller pwede din.  nag-balak na ako last year bumile pero nag-pigil ako kasi di naman nagagamit for 2-player gaming.  then lately wala sa mabilhan

try ko nuon pa paano ma-pair si DS4 sa Shield pero wala sa internet.  di kasi mag-pair kung nka-On lang si DS4 controller eh.  pwede siya mag-pair ng nka-On sa mga Sony devices (TV at PS4 console) lang.  ayun, may nag-post din later on how to set DS4 controller in pairing-mode.  kahapon ko lang nakita when I'm tried to search again hehe

just upgraded to the shield experience 7.1 after a few weeks of holding back and im liking it!

so far all the features i need are working. the shortcuts to go to sleep and go to settings are so helpful. and the shield is so snappy compared to 6.0

but ganun pa din colorspace, manual pa rin magpalit if you watch HDR vs non HDR material.

Yes its true.
I think Apple TV 4K and Netflix App on Windows 10 supports Dolby Atmos.
