advantage:

nice improvement sa sound quality because of the separation of the HF and the LF,dont forget to remove the metal jumper sir. (though slight lang kasi same amp and power supply pa rin naman, better ang bi-amping).

you can backread the thread of fellow pdvd markymark with his experiment using his Wharfedale 155 floorstanding speakers on bi-wiring and bi-amping. this is the thread title: Wharfedale 100 series.

disadvantage:

more wires means more expense and more clutter, hehe. though mura lang naman ang extra wires.just try it sir, then balitaan mo kami.

Question:  pag bi-wire ba ibang gauge or material ung para sa highs at iba sa lows?

Mas may benefit sa bi-amping kesa bi-wiring, IME. You can read this article by Rod Elliot http://sound.westhost.com/bi-amp.htm

At the end of the article, there is a short discussion on bi-wiring.

In my experience, i still prefer biwiring. Madalas kasi mas superior ang conductivity ng speaker cables than the jumpers/ jumper plates that comes with the speakers.....

To find out, try to hook up your cables alternately from HF to LF and find out if there's a difference. For example, cables are hooked up in the HF then you transfer it to LF. If the mids and highs deteriorated but your bass improved it only.means that your weak link is the stock jumper plates.

To solve this, you have two options.
1. Go for bi wire
2. Remove your jumper plates and have it replace by same wire you are using as your speaker cables.
