Topic: Adam Artist 5

hello guys would like to ask if this is a good choice for a pc desktop speaker? I want something for sq , not need to sound very loud, mainly for watching downloaded movies and some music.

if the budget is just around 55k is this a good choice or should I go the route of avr and speaker? was planning only 2.0 setup or maybe 2.1 anythoughts would be of help thanks

if you have 55k, I say go for it! Adam Audio speakers are very good!

Panalo yang Adam dre! Ganda ng tunog, and i dont even bother to use a subwoofer for my Adam A5x.
Mas lalong gaganda kung may DAC ka.

the artist 5 has a built in dac right, compared to the a5x same lng ba sila ng speakers? or mas higher end yng speakers ng a5x?

should i get a a5x and seperate dac? or the built in dac ng artist 5 ok na? want something all in one na, unless the speaker of the a5x is better.

also may locally available ba d2 sa phillippines?

The Artist series doesn't have a built-in DAC. they're a different line of speakers from the AX series. pang pro audio ang AX series, while pang multimedia ang Artist series. either way, they're both very good speakers. you can get Adam Audio speakers from AVDI in Shangrila. HTH!

Artist 5 has a built in DAC via USB input. I dont know the limitation of the Artist 5 DAC with regards to high res files.

Built in DAC has its downside for upgrading, but it also means you would be done with one purchase. There are lots of external DAC now flooding the market which can play high res and DSD files.

Check also Kef X300A for desktop setup with built in DAC too but limited to 24/96.

thanks for the inputs guys, already ordered one outside ph, wala kc d2 artist 5, hope my friend comes home soon kc he will be hand carrying it, and yes as of now built-in dac muna later i think pwede naman e bypass yng built in dac nya if use its XLR connectors

sa specs almost identical sila compared to the a5x, difference lng na notice ko is sa specs sheet is that the A5x pwm amplifier for its mid woofer and the artist 5 uses a/b class amp (which i dont know which is better)
