Bought the Sony Bravia KDL-43W800C 43" inch Full HD TV last Sunday. I'm pretty happy with is since complete package na siya for me. It has Smart TV features and 3D features as well. I have used it for only a few days and my thoughts will be based on my experience with my old Samsung LA40D503F7RXXM 40" Full HD TV. That being said, here are my initial thoughts.

Pros
- The picture quality is way great. It's crisper and clearer than my old Samsung unit.
- The colors are deeper and more vibrant. The colors from my old TV looks washed out compared to this one.
- It also has better sound quality. I can notice a better separation of sounds compared to my old TV.
- Better backlight as well. Even with a window w/o curtain from the opposite side of the room, I can still watch with minimum glare.
- The TV stand can double as a TV mount. No need to buy a separate one.
- The remote control can sync with the PS3 and PS4 using Bravia Sync.
- You can watch movies playing on your phone straight to the TV using the TV Mirroring feature.

Cons
- Most of the HDMI Ports are facing upside down. If you already setup the unit, it's kinda hard to plug the HDMI cables.
- The manual buttons are almost at the middle of the back of the unit. It's a hassle to push the buttons. I wish it was nearer the edge of the back of the unit for easier access.
- 3D glasses are not included.
- For some reason, it's harder to connect to the internet using the TV. Granted, it may be my connections fault (I'm only using a pocket wifi). But I can connect with my PS3,PS4 and my phone using the same internet connection with less problem.

For now, yan pa lang naman ang mga na notice ko about my new TV. But overall, I'd say I got a great deal for less than 30k.

Automatic Center sa Alabang Town Center.

I was told Ok naman daw kahit wifi connection lang ang gamit. Hindi pa kasi update yung software ng unit ko. I'll try to update it later.

Has anyone tried the 3d feature? Can I simply download a 3d file via torrent and play it via usb? Or do i have to buy a player that plays 3d? Just bought this tv few days ago

With my Samsung 3d Tv, you have to set whether your downloaded 3D File is "side by side" or "over/under" 3D format....for it to play properly.

I am not sure with Sony.

^^Nope. Every week ako dumadaan sa Sony Centre. Wala talaga. Since September last year pa raw wala. Bad trip nga eh!

Pero pwede naman ata ang ibang brand na Active 3D glass.

Just bought the samsung 3d glasses in ebay. Per avforums it should work well with our tv model.

Pros:
- Excellent picture quality
- 3D (can play torrent files from USB). Can be side-by-side or over-under
- Thin frame
- Sound is loud & clear (sound can still be heard in our open plan 7mx9m house).
- Black is quite good when watching movies at night
- Glare is not an issue even if watching in a bright living room area and picture mode is on a bright setting
- Android TV (Can play a couple of game apps especially if you have a controller)
- No problem with wifi connectivity (using pldt modem/router)
- Remote app (I'm using a samsung tab for voice search)
- Owned for 2 months. No problems encountered at the moment.

Cons:
- Lacks the mounting accessories (screws and spacers) to make it flush to the wall or mounting brackets. You have to use the stand as a "hanger" to the included mounting unit.
- Slow boot up when TV is turned on. Takes 1-3 minutes to boot up and connect to wifi.

Note: Don't turn off bluetooth. 3d glasses won't work. Kala ko nung una sira na 3d glasses or mahina na battery.

Yeah. I was able to update my FW using the USB method.

Went to Sony's website and downloaded it using my USB.

siguro sir quality and built-wise tested na talaga etong brand i remember we had a sony black white pa that lasted more than a decade.

Hey guys, would you still recommend this TV w800c over the 49x8300c?
Aside from 4k what else does the x8300c have that tops this model?

The w800c has 3D capabilities and the 49x8300c does not. I could be wrong, though.

Any one else having problems connecting the sideview app to the tv... Still can't find the tv when i scan for available device? I also followed the troubleshooting guide from their site to no avail...

Finally decided to get this. Had it scheduled for delivery and installation over the weekend.

Was able to get some Sony TDG-BT500A active 3D glasses for some weekend 3D watching.

Hoping it doesn't disappoint.

Hi everyone with this TV, how is it going so far?

I'm looking to maybe getting one soon.
Many wise folks will say to go 4k but I guess ignorance is bliss.

Currently I'm in the situation where I need to get a new TV and all I really want is a SOLID 1080p TV.

One of the reasons why I'm not sold with all the new technologies is for one, they're pretty much all in its infancy and standards might change in the next couple of years.

Also, if I go with a 4k TV that means temptation to upgrade my AVR, my PC GPU, etc.

So is the Sony Full HD TV's better than the other brands currently out?
I mean for gaming, how about PQ wise for movies?
