My budget is limited to 45k

I preferred durable TV and known brand.
The TV will be used for Gaming (Wii, PS3), Cignal Daily TV, USB movies

is 4k of LG worth it? does the picture quality good?

may iba pa bang model maliban sa subject na fit sa budget ko po?

I have actually been making a shortlist to buy 2 panels, one that I will use everyday (TV viewing with Cignal, some PS3 gaming and USB movies) and another panel that I will use in my mancave (purely movies with bluray in a home theater setup).

In my shortlist, I already included Sammy 55J6200 which I already tested on an actual demo. I am thinking this can be my everyday panel to use.

I have a FHD 60" circa 2012 Samsung panel that still works to this day, no problems whatsoever. So that makes it comforting to note that Samsung is durable as far as I am concerned. This is not a Tizen-powered panel but it is still excellent.

What I like about Sammy 55J6200:

1. VIBRANT and SPARKLING color reproduction even if video mode is set to STANDARD. In this mode, I see nothing that I feel should be calibrated. The picture quality is excellent for a 1080p material. I usually bring some short demo videos with me whenever I feel the itch to examine a panel on display.

2. The PICTURE CONTRAST on this panel is amazing. Even if I view it from about 8 feet distance, the contrast quality is still pronounced. 

3. MICRO-DIMMING - this is supposed to enhance black levels and since I am very familiar with my own demo videos, I am extremely satisfied with the black levels. Parts of the demo video that should appear gray appear as such. Parts that should be inky black appear as such.

4. JUDDER or JITTER - I observed none. I have a Formula 1 demo video and this panel aced the high-speed scenes with flying colors. This is excellent for PS3 games.


As for the LG 55UF680T panel, I like it, too, but I am very particular with CONTRAST quality and this panel cannot beat Sammy 55J6200 in that department. I personally find LG's overall picture quality a bit soft, especially in seeing upscaled video material. It's not bad, really, but I am not fond of that kind of picture quality.

Thanks a lot traveler. I preferred that j6200 and will get it this saturday in abenson cebu ayala. I am hoping they have stock and offer the same posted in their websites.

I got the LG 55UF680T out of the box it's great. I don't have an experts eye and i was looking for an upgrade. And coming from an OLD LCD TV and a PJ i can say that the colors gave me the wow effect. I was checking out the Toshiba 50" (forget the model) then they showed me the LG. I had a budget of 30k but went over. But what the heck. The only gripe i have is the HDMI inputs. it only has 2. But do have an AVR.

I actually wanted black level par with our VT30. pero LCD can never beat plasma when it comes to that.

but I will try not to consider the black level since mga magulang ko naman gagamit nito sa cebu. I will demo UF680t (4K) and J6200 (FHD) - medyo alanganin lang ako sa 4k baka it suffer yung picture quality para lang mapasoka ng 4K. but we will see.
