I don't know if its luck but i was able to buy a Samsung BDH6500 for Php2990 originally priced at Php9900. It was the last stock (display unit). It is paired with a yamaha receiver and a hisense TV. I've done the initial testing...it looks very very good. At first, i connected it to the internet wirelessly and it updated the system. Afterwards when it rebooted it can no longer detect my WIFI. It got stuck on wired connection. I tried turning on my cellphone's wifi still it fails to detect it. What could be wrong?
Fast forward.....
I went to SM Appliance Bacoor-it would take a month before i can use my bluray again. Then just this afternoon I called up the Jazzy Technical Services in Dasmarinas...ang sagot sa akin ay "dalhin ko pa din device sa kanila plus they always asked me kung ako raw ba ang nag-update "ang sabi ko yung system yung nagupdate when i connected it via WIFI. Tapos sabi pa ng nakausap ko medyo yung technician nila ay madalas daw natatangap ay problems on DVD and madalang lang ang bluray. So sabi ko sa kanila, kaya ba niinyong i-fix ang bluray na ito since kayo ang sinabing repair centre ng Samsung. (kinabahan na ako sa sagot ng babae, she couldnt even give me a proper direction on how to get to their repair shop). Kaya naman daw i-fix since may 1 technician na pamilyar naman daw dyan.
Ang question ko po ay :
1) Tama naman po talaga na iupdate or mag-update ang bluray ?
2) Should i push for item replacement? (sabi ng SM kung mechanical ang sira palit agad pero kung software hindi daw)
Any tips po?

Lastly,Is it safe to not remove the thin plastic that is covering the player ? (for dust protection)
