To the people with the LG 55uf680t, have you tried Netflix? How's the 4k pq?

So if I'm understanding correctly, the 4k upsclaer is bad, meaning normal 1080p videos don't look THAAT much better?

But how about actual 4k content? Does it look amazing still?

Just bought the 43 inch model last tuesday, brought my 1080p movies and 4k pics to test. Completely satisfied and had little to no difference compared to the samsung 40: 6000 model. I'm thinking the "issue" isn't noticeable with smaller panels (40 to 48). Maybe sa 55 up kita yung impact ng rgbw.

Yep correct but on topic they don't count.
They have a different subpixel structure and every pixel turns on and off.
Just to avoid confusion lang, don't mean to correct you.

I'm about to get the 55" version of this. As mentioned earlier, it's only about 2,000 pesos more than a Full HD unit. I think everybody agrees that this is a "fake 4k", but my question is, is it still better than Full HD? Or does the unusual pixel structure compromise the image and we're better off with a legit FHD unit instead? Also curious if Netflix works on this unit?

Unfortunately I don't have Netflix in this particular lg tv so I can't try it.

Using my ps3 for Netflix.

Tried playing 4k videos through the tvs usb. Very very good pic quality. You'll know right away that it's better than full HD. Now my full HD movies, looks Good also. Although looks the same lang as like.playing in normal full HD tvs. So I don't know if the upscalling works.

The thing is playing 4k 60fps seem to be not working. That's why I got a minix.

Overall, I'm happy. I wouldnt know the difference between a true 4k and a fake 4k. All I know is this, when I play a 4k media, pic quality is way better than playing a full HD movies. But when I play a full HD movie, it's the same lang as playing it in other full HD TV. So upscalling is not that good

na test mo na? marami kasi complain about "certified" hdmi 2.0 cables pero limited to ycbcr420 / rgbw.

yung cdrking 4k rgbw pero hindi kaya 120hz 1080p (may discoloration na on 120hz). yung hori "4k" hdmi cables rgbw lang din on 60hz pero pwede 120hz 1080p.

may nagbebenta kasi ng audioquest pearl 1.5k pero baka masayang lang pera ko.

ito yung avs forum about that and marami hindi supported kaya medyo duda ako.

I compared my UF680 to my brother;s 4K Samsung side by side.  There is no difference in resolution if you watch 4K videos from a normal distance.

You can see the slight difference in pixel arrangement if you look closely 2 inches from the screen.

Definitely worth the 1.2t (in my case) difference from FULL HD.

Like buying a Big Burger for 12 months, naka UHD 2160p resolution na.

pansin ko ang difference is pwede Full/Limited ang dynamic range sa RGB pero pag Chroma 444 grayed out na yung dynamic range. same lang output unlike pag chroma 420.

Just watch from a distance.  PQ should be pretty OK.

I totally agree! Viewing distance really matters, whether the panel is 4k or not.
