Not sure if there's a thread already about Tannoy Speakers...

5th Avenue is the official distributor for PH...I know they have all speaker line from HT to serious audio like the Turnberry, Stirling, etc.

BUT I am most amazed (based on price vs. performance ratio) with the new Revolution and Precision series.

I highly recommend the Tannoy Revolution XT6 and XT6F...excellent mids...vocals are to die for (using SET tube amps like Audio Note OTO SE Signature, Unison Research Simply Italy, Leben CS300)...yet bass and PRAT is not compromised...it's like having the midrange magic of Harbeths and the slam and PRAT of Reference 3A MM De Capo...BUT this is based on my listening experience...

The more refined version would be the Precision series, specifically the Precision 6.2 LE...fantastic looks coupled w/ fantastic sound reproduction especially if paired with 845 SET tubes...

everytime i go to shang, i always visit 5th ave. the tannoy-cambridge set-up is very good. but once you play the high-end tannoy stirling, that a whole different story. hehe. i wonder how the xt6 would sound using a musical fidelity. i guess tataba at mas palpable pa midrange.

Hi sir Jen, this is what I've been looking for. I can't seem to find any thread here about the Tannoys. This is very helpful for those who are looking & considering these speakers. They are well known but not much discussion can be found locally.

hello fellow tannoy enthusiasts. just recently got the rev dc4t after trying them out in 5th ave. glad to see others loving this brand. i dont know if its just me but the tannoys seem to have a signature sound thats unique to its speakers.
anyway, hoping to have more discussions with everyone about these great speakers.

The Tannoy downfiring fullrange speakers are the best Tannoy speakers i heard today.

back in the late 90's I had the privilege of owning these babies:

the original revolution R1 bookshelf. Its size is just bigger than that of a carton of milk but quite heavy because of the real wood used in the cabinet (no veneer here). Put them in the right room, position correctly and partnered with the right electronics and enjoy. One of my biggest regrets was selling it because of the desire to move up in output. Just recently I sold the last of my Tannoy gear which is the Mercury Sub 10.

I have a tannoy 3836 15 inch woofers. The sound of tannoy is addictive. My friend is using as his main speaker a xtf8 for his concert fidelity rig.

Would like to audition the XT6F. Actually, saw it in person yesterday and spoke to Adrian. But the unit on display was being broken in for a lady customer daw.

Auditioned the tannoy xt6f. Very good speakers. The mids are excellent. The details are really good. Nag price increase nga lang 82k+ na srp.

IMHO, Yes well worth the price! Heard these speakers in HKG and SG...
