Any one know someone who can rehab speakers? Just got a pair of JBL TLX6 speakers with good drivers but water damaged particle board cabinets. I was wondering if i could have new cabinets made out of the same density particle board and reframe the speaker grilles.

Sayang yung JBLs if left in their current state.

Whoever you get to repair your boxes, it would be a good idea to upgrade from particle board to MDF (denser material).

As far as I know, Ed Paman has been into speaker since early '80s, and he is one of the best in this business. You may ask him for a different design to enhance your listening liking. They also have vintage speakers for sale.

Sabi ko use orig materials, so it was particle board.

Upgrade to the finish though is the use of real wood veneer wrap (mahal!) sa sides and front. Veneer will be stained original JBL walnut. . .

Cost is dependent on repair, medyo mahal yung sakin since it required new cabinets and since maarte ako , real wood veneer.

Nag ka idea tuloy ako sa TL8's ko. Met and heard sir Ed's creation years back, modified/refurbished snells speakers with my exposure power amp, since then isa yun sa tunog na hanap hanap ko.

Good to hear now he a shop, or place to visit for his creations.

Nope. Back to specs lang. Drivers will be overhauled to bring them back to specs.

I've read somewhere in De Facto Facebook that he have something up in his sleeve which can make a difference in the sound quality... Wonder what it is? Also Kenrick of Japan has been retuning all refurbished speakers, especially on the crossover, and it make quite an improvement.

You have an eyes-catching woods, I'm sure it's expensive and heavy. Seen one, about double the size, used as coffee table in highland. You'll be the talk of the town, just because of it.

That would be changing the crossover to tune the speaker. . . I'm just making it go back to specs.
