i'm scouting for a 40" led tv to replace my son's room crt tv. is this 40" sony bravia from lazada a good deal? does this unit plays mkv and mp4 files using the USB drive? sa local sony distro ba ang warranty nito o sa lazada na?

yong binebenta ng western appliance ay 19,200 pesos. nasa right side ang "sold and fulfilled by lazada".

2 years pala ang sony warranty? subukan ko nalang siguro tawagan ang lazada kung paano mag claim ng warranty. meron naman sila 14-day return policy at nasubukan ko yon sa ibang item, no issue naman

I have the youtube version of this tv, sony 40r552c. I guess almost the same lang ang picture quality with 352c.

I've set my expectations low for this tv but to my surprise picture quality is really good, colors are life-like (of course it depends on your source pa din) and most importantly black level is almost comparable to my samsung plasma. my kids really enjoyed watching youtube on this tv, nabawasan pag gamit nila ng tablets & laptop hehe.

yes, it played .mkv (w/ DTS audio) and almost all video formats. pansin ko lang, yung old HDD drive ko (USB 2.0) eh hindi kayang basahin ng tv. pero yung newer HDD ko eh walang problem.

I bought mine last November pa, with so much haggling nakuha ko ng 20,700 pesos (SRP that time is 24k) sa Abenson metro east.

This is a very good non-smart led tv, can play movies via usb. Best paired with a sony ht-ct380 soundbar.

refresh rate is 60hz. This is a first generation led kaya pamigay na price.

Id rather go for other brands with at least 100hz-120hz.

this tv will be used solely for cable tv channels at siguro konting usb movies. so, the new tech should not matter that much. what do you guys think?

are there any other brands with a 100-120hz rate that cost similar to this?

i emailed lazada, the warranty is only 1-year thru them and not from Sony Phils. i guess it's a NO-GO for me as i live in leyte. meron sana sony service center sa amin pero di ata sila connected kasi ilang beses ko tinanong, ang sagot ay sa lazada lang e claim ang warranty

1-year warranty for a brand new TV panel? Not a good deal.

I used to import my TV panels from USA and I had risked not having local warranty support in exchange for the huge savings when I do bulk deliveries with some home items.

By the way, in Q4 of last year I bought two locally available Samsung TV panels. I registered it via Samsung PHL. However, the online registration showed only a warranty period of one (1) year despite the store's assurance that local Samsung TV panels have a standard 2-year warranty.

After a needlessly long tussle with Samsung's customer service agents (they were polite but lacked common sense and kept spouting words using an infuriating nonsensical script), I prevailed upon the supervisor who finally, thankfully clarified that the warranty registration information of 1-year was erroneous. But he said he had no control over the information posted online because the website admin is from a different Samsung department. Darn, the lack of coordination among Samsung PHL's departments can be really frustrating and annoying.

Yes. I was told that the TV comes with 1 year warranty. To avail it, I was advised to call Lazada Hotline so they will endorse me to the nearest accredited Service Center. I was also informed too that it was a Sony Service Center. Yun ang sabi ng nakausap ko sa Hotline.

LAZADA is just a Middleman.

They source their TVs from many sources, some authorized, some not.

Be careful.
