HI.

I've seen a YouTube review that this can mirror IOS . Can you pls verify?
Thanks.
Hi Oloap. Thank you for showing me the info. So far I've confirmed mirroring/casting from an Android phone to the Wetek Hub via an app and it works. There's a "Media Center" app pre-installed on the Wetek Hub that, when activated, enables the Wetek Hub to receive photos, videos and music from your phone via DLNA. IOS via Airplay option on the same app. I'll need to borrow an Ipad or Iphone to confirm IOS. Or if Stickfighter isn't busy he can try it out :)

HOW TO SET-UP THE KODI REMOTE ON THE iPHONE :)

You have the option to control your Wetek Hubs Kodi Player on your phone by following these easy steps below:

STEP 1: Download the Kodi Remote app on the App Store (or Kore for android phones)

STEP 2: Launch the app and on its main interface, press "Add Host."

STEP 3: Enter your WIFI IP address on the "Host: Port/TCP Port" space provided and press "Find Kodi." Once it receives the remaining data from Kodi, press "Save."

That's it! :) Once done, you should be able to use your phone as a remote for the Kodi player. Please see screenshots below:

KODI REMOTE

THE KODI MAIN MENU ON AN IPHONE

MOVIES...MOVIES...MOVIES!

DON'T KNOW WHAT A MOVIE IS ALL ABOUT...NO PROBLEM!

INCLUDES INFORMATION ON THE SYNOPSIS, TRAILER AND CAST OF THE FILM :)

YOU MAY ALSO SEARCH MOVIES BY GENRE :)

ENJOY! 8)

HOW TO INSTALL ADD-ON INSTALLER ON WETEK HUB's KODI PLAYER :)

First up, we have to install Fusion. For those who are unfamiliar, Kodi is basically a media player. The Fusion Installer is a link to our Kodi Addons server. You'll need the Fusion Installer to be configured before you're be able to install any Kodi addons, our Config Wizard, or even the Addon Installer.

Sorry for the crooked, glaring and crappy pics...these were taken impromptu :-[

The following guide will show you how to install the add-on installer. This add-on allows you to install certain add-ons and their repositories.

STEP 1: Open Kodi
STEP 2: Select SYSTEM and then File Manager

STEP 3: Select Add Source

STEP 4: Select None

STEP 5: Key in the following: http://fusion.tvaddons.ag and then select Done

STEP 6: Highlight the box below and enter a name for this media source. I used fusion :) Then select Done.

STEP 7: Select OK

STEP 8: Go back to your Home Screen, select SYSTEM and then Settings

STEP 9: Select Add-Ons

STEP 10: Select Install from zip file

STEP 11: Select fusion

STEP 12: Select start-here

STEP 13: Select plugin.program.addoninstaller-x.x.x.zip

STEP 14: Wait for Add-on enabled notification at the bottom right corner of your screen

STEP 15: Go back to the main menu and select PROGRAMS and then Add-ons

STEP 16: Then select Addon Installer

STEP 17: You will see the progress bar of the installation

STEP 18: Select Featured Addons

STEP 19: Select the Addons you want to add.

STEP 20: Selected and chose Exodus

STEP 21: On the prompt, select Install

STEP 22: A progress bar for your install will appear

Once the installations complete, you are ready to launch the add-on 8)

Shout out and a special thank you to Jessie of eHome for helping me with the set-up ;)

ENJOY! 8)

Nice. I am just curious if it plays the video. does it drop frames continuously?

Or is it just the video just started?

Hi DPT. Sorry it took so long to test! I tested several videos that are also 4K and x265. So far, only this 10 second video had a dropped frame. All videos were tested via a LAN cable (network) and there was this one time where it dropped a frame when I unplugged the keyboard. Out of curiosity (or boredom) I tried the video again without unplugging the keyboard and it had 0 dropped or skipped frames. :)

P.S. Sorry for taking sooooo long!

That is what reviews are for hehehe.

Dropped and skipped frames are annoying.   As much as possible we should  eliminate dropped or skipped frames.

Here is the link of the vidon Kodi

Hi GIJoe,
Tried the Vidon on the Wetek Hub and it doesn't show the BD menu. Although it recognized the BDMV structure and BD-ISO, it only prompted me which track do I want to play or if I want to see the main menu. When choosing the main menu, it plays the main track. This is already happening with regular Kodi. So nothing special happening here.

Hi Oloap,

Yes. This works. Roberto Jorge was using AirPlay/DLNA Receiver (PRO) by Waxrain tech. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2&hl=en). Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with :)

just got a Wetek Hub myself and  I am now realizing that android media player is a very versatile one. I had the chance to play one full movie and watch a few episodes of a couple of reality tv series. eHome was kind enough to install several add ons prior to shipping the unit to me. i cant help but over emphasize that this unit provides excellent picture and sound quality.

The developers at Wetek has released a firmware update :)

[ROM] [WeOS 1.0.2 BASED] Android TV v1.0

Updates:
*HDCP Keys, Widevine Level1 and Microsoft Playready DRM remains intact
*720/1080p - Dolby Digital 5.1 Netflix
*ATV OS Google Play Store, Music, Movies etc...
*Excellent hardware deinterlacing of all mpeg2 / H264 / 29.97 / 25 / 50fps TV streams.
*Full Automatic - Android (Level 2), system wide, dynamic Refresh Rate switching. Eg 24p 1080p Netflix playback + other Apps
*5.1 AC3 Audio Passthrough in WeTek Media Player (Jarvis) App (HD audio untested yet, should work fine)
*Smooth video playback for all 23.976 / 29.97 / 59.94fps video content in WMP.
*Handy Sideload / Launcher for regular Lollipop Apps added.
*Dual Boot Android TV OS / LibreELEC Kodi works
*Pretty much Idiot proof Reflashing and updating of the ROM to internal eMMC storage, very easy !

We will do the testing of the updates in the next few days. Stand by ;)

Hi Stickfighter,

I called ehome today and inquired about the Wetek based on your post. Like you im a mede8er user that i got from ehome 4 yrs ago. Im looking for a media player too but im more interested in the media streaming  (unli access to movies online) features and capabilities of Wetek. Can you share more reviews regarding that feature?
I was told that it comes pre installed with software and a free 1 month subscription and access to unli movies capped at 100gb per month. Theres a p450 monthly subscription if you want this service continued.
Thank you and looking forward to your posts.
