Tickets to Miss Universe 2016 to cost between P8,000 to P50,000

Tickets for the Miss Universe 2016 pageant which will be held in the Philippines in January 2017 will be available starting December 20, 2016 and will cost between P8,000 to P50,000, Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo said Monday.

“The sales of the ticket will start on December 20. The tickets will be more or less $1000, or about P50,000. That’s for the VIP. For the general admission, it will probably be around $160, more or less, or about P8,000. That’s the cheapest,” Teo said at a press conference.

Tickets will be available via TicketNet, Teo added.

“Book and buy ‘yan. Once you book, you have to buy right away. There will be no reservations,” she said.

The pageant will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on January 30, 2017.

Yes, he is back. along with an "unnamed" FIlipina co-host.

I heard from a local nightly news that the "unnamed" co-host is the daughter of a popular actor/actress. That was the only clue.

Any idea?

KC Concepcion?...kaso GMA ung media partner, so malabo.

Inah de Belen?...puede kasi GMA artist sya kaso no extensive hosting experience.

I also thought about KC Concepcion. While she has a strong potential for hosting (I heard how she can easily articulate herself in unbroken, grammatical English in a past show), I also thought it would look a bit "odd" to see her standing next to a big Harvey on stage. KC is not exactly tall, even with heels (and, by the way, I saw her once in a big hotel lobby in Manila clumsily tripping on the floor in her stilleto heels, her male companion catching her from behind).
