Here they are up on the wall behind the speakers. Sound hitting it gets scattered in a predictable and consistent manner, making the wall seem much further away. Gives expansive depth to well-recorded songs. Easier to hear the singer in front with the band behind. :)

hey elco, just got the camrbridge cxn network player hooked up to a pair of psb t2s. pretty good dac a ! very nice live-ish presentation.

Wait til you hook it up to your network and set up a uPNP server. Then you'll experience the magic of the Cambridge CXN. No more plugging and unplugging USB and no more worrying about USB jitter/noise/etc... :)

i wouldn't build a system around wireless if there's only one dac. the cxn is more like a once a week or once every two weeks thing rather than a mainstay of my system. i'm sure you are quite happy with your cxn, emotiva, cm10 setup. :).

Nope. Definitely not wireless. Even at 802.11AC 5GHz, bandwidth is insufficient for 24/96 streaming, much less DSD64.

In my system, the CXN is wired to a gigabit Ethernet switch via CAT6E cable. The computer running the UPNP server software is also connected to the gigabit switch via CAT6E cable. My SACD rips are stored in the computer and all connections are verified with a gigabit testing device.

In this manner, I am not only able to stream DSD64 quickly and reliably, my wife upstairs can simultaneously stream to the media player  unremuxed Bluray rips stored on the same computer.

For high res media streaming, wired is definitely the way to go.

Minor update: DIY cable risers.

Made from retaso MDF that I had lying around. Used a table saw to cut them into shape, then spray painted flat black.


















Sonic gains? No idea but I'm not optimistic. I'll listen more later.  :)

Sir, need some advice, notice you use emotiva 5 channel bi amp, mas ok ba to use Emotiva 3 or 5 channel (Bi amp front) for B&W 804 and htm2 center
