Only learned about the "HDR+" switch last night and turned it on.  All the calibration techniques i've encountered left this switch off.  Wow..magic, double the fun. Samsung's ability to upscale sources to HDR make the purchase more than worthwhile.
Thanks for this. Never thought this exist. SD is now better. will test HD later. :)

Medyo may telenovela effect. Pero tolerable naman

Try turning the Auto motion switch off.

With HDR on, animated movies are presented in a glorious way, although I still use interchangeably the  other setting as suggested by Darko.  Nice to know our options. :)

Naka off ang auto motion ko. Pero may telenovela pa rin unti.

Can you please point to this settings (Darko).

thanks.

The HDR+ setting should be turned off if source programs are HDR certified like those coming from Netflix or PS4 games, although Samsung states HDR programs can still benefit with the switch on.  YMMV here or as always, depends on your  preference.

Cheers!

I used these KS9000 settings for my 65KS8000 (bought in US) and the PQ results are stunning. :)

Setting the auto motion plus to "custom" and the two sliders to "0" solved my Soap Opera effect (SOE) while watching cable movies/series.  Thanks for the suggestion. :)

just came from SM a few hours ago, they still have it at 52k+ if cash purchase, not sure if that's a good deal, but that is much lower than the 2017 models that they have on display - MU8000 and QF7
Marantz NR1200, MartinLogan Motion 20 digital audio setup, and Sony A80J

This is already a good deal.  Chances are display units na lang ito and can be bargained for more discounts.  Anyone contemplating on SUHDs, now is the time to buy. >:D

It is a VA panel. You can get more details on the 1st page of this thread.

The VA panel limits viewing angle.  One should sit directly in front of the KS7000 as color decreases as one angularly moves away.  :)

Got a couple of questions for those who've owned this unit for over 6 months.

Can you give us an update on your time with this set? A ton of positive reviews but a lot of negative feedback as well.

A lot of the negativity stems from firmware updates that may impact picture quality. Of course YMMV.

> What is the most stable firmware number so far?
> Complaints about blue/red color separation during Game mode.
> Difficult to remove judder during panning scenes.
> Brightness goes up and down occasionally during high contrast scenes.

Tempted to make a purchase but I'm afraid of getting these issues.
Also, which retailer offers the best warranty or return period? (lahat ba 7 days lang?)

I have updated to the latest firmware. It is stable but smart functionalities still have hiccups, like Youtube menu very unstable when searching for videos and texts overlapping each other
> Complaints about blue/red color separation during Game mode.
No comment as I dont play games

    Did not notice this.

My complaint was is this unit is not good on SD formats. But this was resolve when I activated HDR+ capability. So far happy with my purchase. Miles apart from the Plasma Panny I bought last 2011 - even on the black level.

Stocks are quickly running out. Most stores that have it only have display units left of the 49 incher. 55 inches I think is pretty much gone now.

The stores that have display units still are Western (Megamall), SM Appliances (Megamall), Abenson (Farmers), SM Appliances (SM Cubao)

Firmware 1180 now avaible. HDR+ functionality got even better. That is the only change I noticed.

It's actually the 49 incher. Hope it's still a good deal.
Actually the size is perfect na for me.

I believe if you're going over 50 inches, one should go the PJ route.
