wow jackpot ka pala chief! congrats. ;)

Thanks. Marami pa stock sir. papalabas na  ang 2017 models eh. I was actually auditioning the soundbar in Abenson nung nakita ko mas mura pala dito.

Nagustuhan ko talaga ang ks7000, ganda pa nang reviews. It not as equal as OLED, but very near.

yup! have same experience nung audition ko sila, pero that time pricey pa ang KS7000 eh kaya sa KU6300 ako napunta. :)

how good is the upscaling feature of this tv? May nabasa kasi ako na hindi lahat ng 4K TV ok mag upscale ng programs especially from a lower resolution like SD programs and HD content lang.

Not good for analog signals (like free TV). But very good for HD contents. I havent try a dvd content yet.

I think it depends on your cable provider. Our's is crappy cablelink. If your cable provider is digital and has good signal, the PQ wil be great.

Other ks7000 who is on cignal or sky here?

I am using Cignal and I would say that Ch 2 and Ch 7 are good despite being SD only.

Pero if we really want very good PQ for SD channels, let's go back to CRT TVs  ;D

Had the chance to pass by Abenson yesterday and tested the KS700. Had with me my daughter's 1TB EHD with various HD/non HD movies.  Below 720P movies showed heavy pixelization  and i''m assuming the same goes for SD broadcasts as well.  Made me realized that my old 32 LCD Panasonic performed better.  Is this the case for samsung, poor up-scaling for below 720P and SD videos?

The sales guy allowed me to demo the OLED also, which didn't show the weakness of the samsung.

Anyway, i guess it all boils down to software.

I notice that analog broadcast cable is better on my panny 42 plasma than this one.

I tried some of my DVD rips and so far I think they are "satisfactory".

But as they say, who watch non-HD these days. :)

Agree.  Just didn't expect that a flagship model  would have any issues on pixelization.  Still, IMO, the K7000 is the next best alternative to OLED.

Btw sir Tony, are you watching using the built in player of the TV? Me I am using the software just for convenience. Stand alone player is still best.  TVs software are not know for good upscaling, alternative is a laptop/PC with good video card.

How i wish meron na akong Ks7000, still saving up.   To my aging eyes sarap manood ng big screen with bursting colors.  Had to contend my self in the meantime with OLED via my phone. :)

Sakto yan sir. In a few days may bago na mas maganda model (LS7000) hehe.

Sabi nga nang nabasa ko, yung SMART TV is not so smart. mas maganda pa din dedicated players.

Might see further reduction ng KS700 due to newer models.  Might be worth the wait....thanks!

Observed the same as what TonyC has seen. I got a Billboard awards 720p file wherein ok sya sa bahay dun sa 40inch Sony non-4K then nung test namin sa store using USB stick hindi maganda yung result so the salesman immediately stopped playback and inserted his own USB demo movie lol.

I guess careful software matching is the key although at the price point eh sana 720P man lang acceptable.......

Q7F is the correct next model for the KS7000. The MU7000 is lower in terms of specs and features than the KS7000. One good thing about the KS7000 (or KS8000 in the US) is that rtings.com and 4k.com say that in some areas (and perhaps all around performance), the KS7000/KS8000 is still better than the Q7F.  I bought my 55" KS7000 for 55K in Abensons. The 55" Q7F is being sold at 152K. Go for the KS7000 if you can still get one.

Got at unexpected windfall last week and finally got the 49inch ks700.  Got the last available stock at Abenson SM North.  Being a display unit the past 2 mos., I was able to negotiate the price at P41K.  Hanep the picture!! Tamang tama for the NBA finals.

I was able to connect a digital cable from the TV to my amp and the sound via sky cable came out just fine.  However playing via USB, i noticed that not all Audio formats are being played.  Anybody have this same experience?  Thanks!

Only learned about the "HDR+" switch last night and turned it on.  All the calibration techniques i've encountered left this switch off.  Wow..magic, double the fun. Samsung's ability to upscale sources to HDR make the purchase more than worthwhile.

Thanks for this. Never thought this exist. SD is now better. will test HD later. :)
