'Concussion' Doctor: 'I Would Bet My Medical License'
O.J. Simpson Has Degenerative Brain Disease CTE
By ABC NEWS
Jan 29, 2016, 11:15 AM ET

The renowned doctor whose discovery of a degenerative brain disease in football players inspired a hit movie says he believes O.J. Simpson may be suffering from the disease -- known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE.

Speaking yesterday in an interview with ABC News, Dr. Bennet Omalu -- the neuropathologist whose identification of CTE is depicted in “Concussion” starring Will Smith -- said Simpson was “more likely than not” suffering from CTE.

“I would bet my medical license on it,” said Omalu.

The car chase in 'The People v OJ Simpson'
was TV drama at its finest - review

The second episode of this lauded 10-part American Crime Story series, focusing on the arrest, trial and acquittal of the sports star, showed you how it’s done. Last night the series really took wing. It was a sublime, multi-textured hour of drama, exquisitely shot, masterfully edited and sensitively performed, and directed with virtuoso power by Ryan Murphy, who has made a series operatic in scope, style and beauty.

‘The People v. O.J. Simpson’ Episode 3: The Dream Team Assembles

... This episode really presses upon the cliché that lawyers can’t be trusted, particularly when it introduces Alan Dershowitz (Evan Handler) and F. Lee Bailey (Nathan Lane). Both start out vehemently (and publicly) asserting that O.J. is guilty, but are easily persuaded to join his defense “dream team” with nothing more than weak flattery from Robert Shapiro. It’s almost as disconcerting as Robert Kardashian constantly referring to O.J. as “Uncle Juice.”

Both the defense team and the prosecution are wrapped up in trying to combat the onslaught of tabloid press. Tabloids — and the fact that O.J. has become a mainstay in their pages — seem to fuel the fire from all sides of the case. Everyone is concerned about “cash for trash.” The confident and cocky Marcia Clark quickly loses steam after an ace news conference when she realizes that witnesses like Jill Shively, who claims to have seen O.J. driving away from the scene of the crime, are damaging the district attorney’s credibility by taking money to appear on tabloid TV. She’s trying to keep the media from defining the narrative, to keep the “tail from wagging the dog,” but it might already be too late.

'The People v. O.J. Simpson’ Episode 4: The Rise of Cochran

... Bombs start exploding this week when the “dream team” collapses under the weight of too many egos. Its first gathering was immediately destabilized by Robert Shapiro, whose first question to the entire room was, “Who thinks O.J. did it?” How can anyone in that room answer with a straight face? Most of the team’s defense is being built around having key evidence thrown out in order to make a better case for his innocence, and two members (Alan Dershowitz and Johnnie Cochran) have publicly gone on record to say O.J. is guilty; there’s also the contentious meal where Shapiro admits to F. Lee Bailey that the case is “not winnable.”

My copy of the finale had 23 min missing. It ended with the Goldmans at the parking lot. Make sure you watch the complete show.

This was an awesome journey.

American Crime Story Season 3 Ordered; Focuses on Versace Murder

Who will play Andrew Cunanan? My money is on Darren Criss. (good actor, half-Pinoy, already in Ryan Murphy's employ).
