Headphones quality
« on: Nov 16, 2016 at 06:30 AM »
I know that led tv has a crappy audio speaker quality, my question is, will a tv produce a good audio quality over a headphone? For example, my tv is a Sony bravia and im using a Coloud on ear headphones. What will be the quality of the audio?

The person most qualified to answer that is YOU. Plug in your headphones and see hear for yourself.

With all due respect sir, thats why I ask this question because I dont have the time to scour the market to do this. I'm just asking if there would be a user out there who have tried this, I would really appreciate it if they share their experience.

P.s. Thats why I shunned facebook because of answer like this, cringe much. Wag po kasing mema lang.

Markcrenz is right. You own the tv. You own the headphone. So YOU are the best person to determine which is better. Trust you ears. Don't ask pdvd members ONLY YOU can answer. If you cringe on the answers from other members, you don't deserve to be here!

Haha! Just to rephrase their answers in a more diplomatic way and with baby gloves..

Different answers because a lot of factors need to be considered.

1.) Headphones have different impedence.
2.) the headphone jack of the tv and power it outputs.. is dependent i guess on the tv model.

So at the end of the day, only you can answer your own question. Hearing is subjective. it maybe that some might find being in same the exact scenario, the sound quality as trash / tunog lata but for you it is acceptable.

So there.

Just plug it in and decide for yourself.

99.9% people would be on the opposite scenario. choosing a separate sound system for their tv.

So i guess, to sum it up...

I tinkered with TV audio to headphones before.

In my case, I used a variety of headphones (AKG, Bose QC, etc). Then I also put a receiver in the middle, too (because my TV is part of an HT setup). The receiver has a headphone jack and I can make some sound adjustments further. I'd  done this when watching dialogue-heavy movies late at night.

Now, the answer to  your question if the TV audio is good via headphones is a bit quirky to generalize, BUT one needs to consider at least that the source material is also good. Are you simply watching crappy TV broadcast from local channels? Satellite cable with HD channel? Or are you watching bluray movies?

The rest is subjective. Just like the other previously posted replies, the sound quality rests on your personal preference. What may sound crappy to X may sound golden to Y.
