4 Mi Boxes connected via Linksys AC5400 - no problem with 5Ghz

What wireless router are you using?

Try tinkering with AP isolation setting. Reboot router, reconnect your Mi Box to see if it fixes the 5ghz connection.

^ dlink 805l, tried changing security mode from WPA2 to auto(WPA & WPA2) and it did connect but cannot stream etc. need to fall back to 2.4Ghz, can you please share your router settings?

No issues here too on 5ghz

Re switch off, what i do is tap power until reboot appears and quick tap again until the tv shows no signal. Sleep lang daw ito. From here i unplug or switch off the outlet adapter

Auto lang and WPA2 cant remember if personal or Enterprise. I'll give u feedback later.

from your android phone just tap the cast and mi box will switch to the built-in chromecast.

I can't get those apps to work directly with the mibox. But with us cable TV subscription you can cast them..

some apps are region locked and needs to do vpn. i have yet to figure it out using operaVPN - sayang eh libre na ok than tunnel bear.

Yes the apps are region locked but they only work with mobile devices (tablets and phones..) if you're casting better to use a vpn router..

HBO NOW works on my end. Just sideload the app and sign-in for a 1 month trial in the app itself. subscription will be added in your google play account.
Btw, you need a vpn service for this. After my 1 month Trial i'm planning to continue my subscription because of Sesame street for my kids and GOT.

i'm using opera vpn sometimes. and it works with pluto TV to get those live channels and on demand movies.
install set orientation app to your mi box first via playstore on your desktop pc. run set orientation and select landscape.
sideload opera vpn apk then use a mouse or an air mouse to navigate since di leanback app siya.

Anybody experienced overheating? Was not able to finish a movie last night because the unit turns off and was very hot when I touched it.

What kodi did you download? When I downloaded kodi it downloaded Krypton. I tried playing some files from my external hdd. It won't play. Is there a default player?

kodi krypton 17.3 is the latest version. it should be able to play the files on your external hdd.

And using the MX player or the kodi to playbsome movies.. pag forward or reverese ko eh parang nag blackout siya na hindi ko na puwedeng resume yung scene.. kailangan back to start ulit ako.. normal lang ba ito.. or i miss something..

I'm now having this problem, not connecting to 5ghz. Ayos naman dati.

Based on online workarounds, I set my 5ghz channel 100 or below. Mibox3 is unable to connect at higher channels.

i'll try to disconnect and reconnect mine later on 5ghz. baka mapasama ako inyo magka issue narin sa 5ghz

based on my setup, im better with 5ghz pero weaker signal than 2.4ghz. mas smoother access to my NAS

Now alam ko na kung ano ang problema sa stuttering ng video.. di na pala kailangan ng mx player which hindi ako makapag playback ng dts at dolby.. ang cause pala ng stuttering ng video ko is the usb hub na ginamit ko.. those were the china made with switch na may blue led.. tried my old usb hub na nakakabit sa mede8er ko and it works perfectly.. kahit dalawang 2tb at remote dongle ang naka plug.. panis.. i'm beggining to love the kodi and the mibox itself.. konting tweaks na lang at add on.. uhmm guess shoestrings were right.. magpapasalamat talaga ako sa inyo after ko mabili itong mibox.. far better than the MXQ na nakuha ko dati.. isa na lang ang titingnan ko.. which is faster sa streaming.. wired or wireless.. router located about 3meters lang from the mibox.. any inputs mga master?

personally tried playing 1080p/12Gb files via wireless so far ok naman. lalo na kung supported ng router mo yung wireless ac. not sure about 4K files though.

malabo yata ako sa streaming ng 4K.. kasi gapang ako sa mga TV series like Flash and Supergirl... 480p lang ako maayos nakakapanood without byffering.. not sure kung sa source or something.. kasi pag 720p na parang panay ang hinto.. but never ko naman na experience yan using may Netflix account.. meron bang add ons ng mga pinoy movies? thanks
