Whew. Just finished back reading everything.

1. I'm getting 2 media players. A basic one for the masters bedroom and another for the tv room. Im thinking of this mi box for the masters and himedia q10 or q5 for the tv room. Is there any sense in getting the more expensive himedia for the tv room?

2. If the mi box has one usb only, but i need to connect my probox (4pcs of 4tb) and another portable hard drive, i would need a powered usb hub? What do you recommend?

3. How much is this box nowadays from infogadget? Any advantage in getting it from infogadget instead of globe and vice versa?

4. Newbie kodi and android box user question, with this box and kodi, i get movies and tv series on demand without the need of subscribing to any other app or site?

Thanks.

the one that came with the package leaked :( and was able to replace the pair before it caused any significant damage to the internals....

Took the plunge and bought this box already:

1. Which keyboard remote do you guys recommend for this box? Typing during search function with the remote is just painful.

2. How come Terrarium cover arts load much slower compared to Megabox?

3. Which browser app do you guys recommend for this box or is yahoo that comes with the es file manager sufficient?

4. Which add-ons do you recommend for Kodi?

If some of the questions are not allowed, kindly edit accordingly MODS.

Thanks.

1.  you can use the official android tv remote app from the playstore.  i'm personally  using the Logitech K380 bt keyboard since I can pair it with multiple boxes.  I also use the Logitech K400 keyboard / trackpad.  I you want a smaller alternative there are wireless mini keyboard like the Rii i8+. But most of the time I just use the app.

2.  I haven't tried MegaBox but so far I tried clearing its cache under settings and tried to re-load the cover arts and it was still fast on my end.  Terrarium tv site was down for over a week now.  The Github repo was taken down too. According to their official reddit page they're taking a break and everything should work normally.  Let;s hope for the best. Latest version is 1.8.3

3. I don't really browse using mi box but as per testing Google Chrome works great. Others are using puffin browser.

4.  I'm just using Covenant add on for kodi.  I mostly stream videos via terrarium tv.

I tried the Android TV remote app but it's a bit quirky for me. Logitech K400 is okay.

may optical out ang mibox sa 3.5mm audio port niya.  kelangan mo lang ng ganitong adapter.  naka bili ako nito dati sa OLX for 50 pesos each..

I went around Greenhills and several stores have the Logitech K400 in varying prices from 1.7k to 2.2k. They tend to sell the gray color pricier than the white ones.

Yes, the cheapest I'd seen was P50 bucks. Some with gold-plated tips sell for as high as P250 apiece.

Do you guys encounter after start up, the bluetooth remote does not connect automatically, and you need to pair them again manually? This happens to me 2/5 times after starting. Hoping there is a fix or workaround to avoid this small but bothersome issue. Thanks

Just bought this from Globe.

Tested a few movies and netflix streaming, encountered some video stuttering on both options. Any ideas why?

Streaming and hd movies only at 1080p. I checked the firmware version still on Android 6 with July 2017 security patch

Netflix has updated its servers to implement what is called ADAPTIVE STREAMING. Adaptive streaming is a process that adjusts the quality of a video delivered based on changing network conditions to ensure the best possible viewer experience.

Hence, if one's internet connection is not "ideal" (again, this is a very subjective issue as there are other variables such as router settings, etc.), Netflix does its adaptive streaming very well to mitigate the effects of poor internet connection. My experience indicates that I get excellent video--and sound--quality at around 14mbps and above. I am using a 50mbps connection although I don't always get that advertised speed.

If Netflix did not implement adaptive streaming, streaming would have been so horrible with constant buffering! Grrr! I upgraded to a 25/mbps plan just to make sure watching Netflix is better than on my original 12/mbps plan.
