if you just updated to build 1901 and install button is greyed out when you sideload an appl like mobdro. just toggle the power button. after that you can now install the app.
You can follow this guide i just uploaded to youtube. https://youtu.be/LuEYd1fpstU

The Xiaomi flagship store has Mi box on display but it says Mi TV Box 2 and sells for 3,490. Is this the same as Mi 3? If not, what's the difference?

That is still the same Walmart/global version of the mi box MDZ-16-AB sold by Globe. For sure its just a typo.
Just curious if these boxes have a 1 year warranty from the store?

I wasnt able to ask about the warranty, i would assume theyd have 1 year warranty same as Globe's. I originally checked out Globe's in Megamall, but it was 3,800 for non-globe broadband subscriber.

Found an alternative to the Mi Box 3:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7RipwJbLc0

Same specs and same Android TV OS. Plays Netflix at 4k. Goes for around P2500 at Lazada.

I have a problem with my MiBox connection. Sometimes it cannot detect my wifi connection. I have to reboot both mibox and modem a number of times before the box can detect the signal. Minsan naman, connect agad. Does anyone have the same experience?

Thanks sir. Try ko muna ibang techniques. Baka kasi mawala yung mga trial versions ng mga movie providers pag nagreset.

I connect via 5Ghz band, and had to manually set my router to use channel 50, to allow the Mi Box to see it. I believe this is due to regional settings, that the Global version of the Mi Box is based on US allowed channels.

You might be experiencing the same.

Thanks mga sir. can you give me some tips on how to do this? If I set the router to a lower channel, will it affect the connection to other devices like cellphones, Minix, etc.?

for mibox connected to 5Ghz, you can use channels 44, 48, 50, 52. Same indoor frequency channel sya ng USA. you have to access your router and change the channel frequency from aut to your desired channel. Mine uses channel 48 as this is the safest of all the channel frequency. Another tip if you can set a static IP for your Mibox do it and set it to the last IP address available in your network.

Check the URL below sir for channels that you can use for 5Ghz

Sir, Huawei B315-936. Di ko alam kung dual band.

Is this the provided modem/router by Globe that uses 4G signal uvia simcard? If it is, then I believe this router only has a max of 7 spool. which means only 7 devices can be connected at the same time. i had the same router prior to switching to my new ISP. New devices cannot connect to the router as pool is already maxed out. try to disconnect other devices first then restart your mibox then try to connect it again.
