On my way home may nadaanan ako na shop selling surplus amplifiers. Stopped by to take a look what's selling. There was a Onkyo Integra A-817XD power amplifier on display. I didn't ask how much. Just want to ask would this be a good power amp to match to my speakers...Andrew Jones Pioneer SP-FS52:

The amp can drive your speakers but due to its limitation at lower region don't expect to have extend bass freq. Mid to high freq will be just right.

Yes that's my current connection with my Kenwood KRF8020D. Im just hesitant because its surplus. Before I saw this I was leaning towards the Onkyo A-9030: would this be okay?

newbie sir.. What do you mean limitation sa lower region? Ano ba dapat titingnan para maganda ang lower region? May nakita din kc ako Onkyo 817 rx ll for 7k. Planning to buy 2nd hand stereo integrated amp for pure audio listening. Ano po masuggest nyo? Thanks

I mean sir in lower region limitation based on speaker's freq specs. Any amp regardless of it's rated power can drive any speaker with better bandwidth response at normal listening level as long as the speaker has good freq. response specs.

Limitation iyan ng speakers, not amplifier. 5-1/4” lang kasi ang woofers ng Andrew Jones SP-FS52, kaya limited sa reproduction ng low frequencies (bass), 250 Hz per specs. So if you want more bass, 20–200 Hz, a subwoofer is recommended.
