Went to abensons earlier to buy the 55ku6000 and ended up scoring the 55ku6388 which i never heard of till earlier today. The specs says it's supports hdr1000 so that was the clincher for me. I just added 2.9k from the 35k price of the 55ku6000. It is a curved uhd tv. The thing is when i google it i can only see it on abensons website. Anyone heard of this tv? It will be delivered tomorrow. Ty.

I think that model is the curve version of KU6000 or KU6300

That's what i thought until i saw the spec sheet on the samsung booklet in abenson saying it's hdr1000 which the 6300 isn't.

It's a derivative of the KU6900, afaik.

My brother-in-law also has this model. At first, I corrected him and told him that it should be KU6300 (dahil curve yung sa kanya, while mine is a KU6000). However, when I saw his TV, meron na palang bagong updated model sa KU6300.... I think 2017 model sya....

It is what it says it is ku6388, but it is also the 6600 based on specs. It is not a 2017 tv that's for sure. After calibrating it ive got to say for the price it is a good buy. Good pq overall and the sound is really good. You dont need a sound bar for this one although i have a 5.1 htib. The negatives are viewing angle and motion. The pq deteriorates when viewed in an angle id say if the tv is 12 o clock and center view is 6 anything beyond 8 and 3 will not look good anymore. You'll see some shadows on fast pace action although turning down or off the auto motion helps and it wouldn't take away anything from the experience. I dont have an hdr content yet so i dont know how it performs on hdr. Bluray looks stunning when viewing from the center. 1080p and even 720p upscaling are pretty good. All in all if you have the money go for the ks7000 too bad my wife is not sold on buying a tv north of 40k. For 38k though id say this tv is worth every penny.

The KU6900 offers Quantum Dot LED lighting, which may be similar to what you have (instead of the White LED lighting on the KU6300). I have a feeling that your unit has QD lighting, since it's claiming HDR1000. Both are 2016 models.

KU6600 = KU6300..nung audition ko kasi yung KU6500 vs KU6300 mas gusto ko output nung KU6300 kaya pinilit ko kunin yung KU6300 and found out that KU6300 = KU6600..and yung price mas mahal ang KU6300 sa KU6500 ang the picture quality shows off naman comparing the two.IMHO.

sabi pa nung sales representative "sir mas advance ang KU6500 compare sa KU6300", but after the demo nakatulala ang sales rep sa out come nung comparison namin for 15mins.

ask nyo sila, bakit mas mahal ang KU6300 kesa sa KU6500 and for sure ang sagot is "yun kasi ang promo sir eh" pero compare nyo parin ang PQ for my experience, muntik na ako ako madala sa sales talk nung mga ungas!

samsung 55ku6388 is 2016 model, exclusive model lang po yan sa abenson...

This was from Abenson's in ATC. 42K din kung cash. Baka nung una pa lang puwede siya sa 38K.
