Windows Tablet as music player (vs. Raspberry Pi)
« on: May 31, 2017 at 11:44 AM »
Has anyone tried using a Windows tablet (China made ones like the Pendo, Cloudpad, etc.) as a music source?  I'm having trouble deciding whether to get one OR to go with a Raspberry Pi.  I do have a USB DAC on hand and an external hard disk (AC powered).  Can I expect more or less the same sound quality (given that I will use my USB DAC either way)?  I'm considering a tablet given that they can be had for relatively cheap (3.0K to 3.5K on olx) and should be able to provide a nice display.  Any thoughts on this?
