samsung plasma 43" (problem with capacitors)
« on: Aug 21, 2017 at 12:35 AM »
Mabuhay!

The plasma conked out just after the 2 year warranty expired.  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\  Parang sumpa!!!! nagfli-flicker yung on/off (red) light nya tapos walang lumalabas na picture and sounds. So called up Samsung sabi nila mostly daw yung problem yung on/off switch (i forgot the name of the part) pero it would be better daw kung ipa-check up (Php500 check up lang).

Of course, tumanggi ako. Anyway, should I try other repair shops or should i just keep on chasing pavement even if it leads nowhere. hehehehe.

Thank you so much sa mga suggestions.  ^-^ ^-^ ^-^ ^-^  i live in MOlino 5, Bacoor pala.

Just to give you an idea how "cheap" the capacitor fix should be.

Capacitors are just 50 to 60 bucks each.  Just have a TV repair guy replace your caps.

Your TV power supply has less than 10 of the caps.

Baka Mundorf, Audio Note at Duelund capacitors ang ipapalit. You'll be the first to own an audiophile grade plasma TV!

The same thing happened to me just three nights ago, I heard a loud popping sound while I was in the kitchen, and when I tried to see what it was all about, the TV is already off.

Tried disconnecting and reconnecting the power cable but nada, the tv is freaking dead. :-(

Hope it's just the capacitors and not the whole board.

Sir mujacko2002 please update mo kami sir, para alam ko kung anong gagawin dito sa tv ko.

TIA

Mine has been repaired already and its up and running again with a 3 month warranty on  parts and repairs. It cost me P5,800.00 for the y-sustain (dont know if this is the correct name) board at P1,800.00 for the labor.

I was forced to spend P7,600.00 for the repairs kaysa bili ng brand new TV., :-(

where did you get it fixed, sir?

Brought the unit to our local Samsung Service Center Sir. It took them a week to order the parts and then less than a day to install it. They give me a 3 month warranty on parts and labor.
