Topic: big difference between 1080 projectors and 4k projectors? should I upgrade?

Hi guys,

I already have a 1080 panasonic projector ae3000 if im not mistaken. Movies super linaw na and can't complain about the picture quality,
but I'm an avid gamer and pag ps4 gamit ko mejo malabo sya and dull ung colors pagcompare sa movies. I tried calibrating it pero parang kulang parin. My projector is about 5 years old, time to upgrade na ba? haha. And malaki ba difference ng picture quality from 1080 to 4k?

^to answer your question na not considering 1080p vs 4k resolution. I've set up several systems and before my favorite was the panasonic ae 8000, but when i saw the previous sony vpl 40es wow ang laki ng difference talaga. Almost top of the line na ae8000 compared sa sony entry level 45es , hands down panalo na sony.  Now kung 4k pa yan mas lalo na. 

May slightly used sony 4k pj for sale si loiue , pero kung gusto
Mo ng brandnew let me know na lang. btw most of my clients are now playing ps4 sa sony pj nila.

I think may improvement if mag-upgrade from 1080p to 4k... But its not really that much kasi nga resolution lang ang nagchange, an picture nagiging more detailed.. I have a 1080p PJ & a 4k HDR TV, hindi ko ganun ka pansin ung malaking gap in improvement.

But if we're talking about upgrade to 4k with HDR, then ibang level ng improvement pinag-usapan dito. I'd say having HDR capability is really a game-changer. HDR in 4k reso gives the PQ several notches above the 1080p PJ (Dito ko naappreciate ng husto ung 4k HDR TV ko). I thought how much more if 4k HDR tapos OLED pa ung TV?

I think 4k HDR for PJ is still in its early stages (unless Sony PJ, which costs way above most people's budget). TV on the other hand, has a matured 4k HDR tech plus ung pagpasok ng OLED na walang sinabi PQ & black level ng PJ. Screen sizes for TV had grown over the years na common nalang ung 65" na TV.

Kaya, ito ung final route ko, upgrade 1080p PJ to 4k HDR OLED TV kahit 65" lang..
