Topic: Brookstone Big Shot Ultra Short Throw Projector

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share my new purchase, the Big Shot Ultra Short Throw Projector from Brookstone. Got it for less than 300USD, probably the cheapest Ultra Short Throw projector you can get. It's pretty bright considering that it's only 200 lumens. Contrast and colors could be better but maybe once I get a screen it will improved, only projecting on a white wall for now. Does anybody else have the same thing? The built in JBL speakers on this thing are pretty decent.

Congrats Sir @mico333, not bad for the price! Short-throw projectors are an ideal solution for those with space constraints.

May I ask what is the expected life rating for that projector's lamp, if available on the user manual?

Considering that some big—and more expensive—brand-name LED projectors offer up to 30,000 hours of lamp life, Brookstone's 20,000 hours look good. It's 66.67% of 30,000.

I was looking at the LG P1000UW (rated at 30,000 hours) which is about $1,400 these days.

What you need is high contrast- ambient light rejecting screen and youll be more amazed with that pj.

I've seen this go for $299 before at Amazon right around the time you told us about this, though it's out of stock now.

Mico what is available here are the branded ones, super mahal. You can order from suking store na lang din. But shipping and risk are high esp on big sizes.
