Please recommend a height/ceiling speaker for atmos
« on: Nov 05, 2017 at 06:52 PM »
Hello guys.  My 8 year old entertainment center is itching for an upgrade.  Since I will be remodeling my corner entertainment center, I might as well update my gears.  Now, I need a quick advice on what pair of speakers for a 5.1.2 setup (atmos).  Feel free also to recommend other routes that I might not have thought.
AVR - Denon x1300w, for the 7.1 channel, internet radio, airplay, BT, etc. (my existing is just a 5.1, non-network AVR)
Front - Wharfedale 8.2 bookshelf (still ok I guess)
Center - Wharfedale 8 center
Surround - Wharfedale DFS
Sub - 12" Dynaquest
Front height or front ceiling speakers - ???

your 5.1 speaker set might still be good.  buy a new Wharfe floorstanders instead and make the 8.2 your Atmos heights.  see if you can wall mount it with a pinpoint AM41 =)
