Yes oo nga.. Parang mas better siguro yung C7 then a mid range set up if same PQ and performance lang halos.. But still, sobrang pogi ng A1 haha

with 100k less for C7 you can already buy midrange 4k ATMOS/DTX AVR + speakers + 4k media player!

Very good point! You can walk away with a superb TV (C7) plus the goodies you mentioned. Money better spent.

Pogi talaga partner. Lets say the A1 is better(PQ wise)....but is it almost a 100k pesos better? No pa din for me...

That is why LG OLEDs outsell Sony by a big margin..

Sony should bring down their prices, ganda PQ pa naman  8)

Correct if you’re on a budget this TV should not be anywhere on your list...but the term “budget” is relative:)

@Carlo:
Since Sony has "triluminos" & "x-reality pro", if implemented ito sa OLED displays, your TV should have a PQ advantage over the LG OLED. Try enabling this Sir if magiimprove PQ nya.

Interesting review =)

By the way, some questions:
1) The Sony OLED is slanted (if you put it on a table). Does slanted position of the screen serve as a downside in your opinion?

2) Since LG makes the panels, it is natural that LG will serve their best panels for their own TVs. However, the consensus within the international AV community is that OLED TVs from Sony and Panasonic offer better image and video processing capabilities.

Was that something that you noticed as well in your observation?

For your questions:

1) It looks kinda wierd at first, but you get used to it...and since the TV has superior view angles it does not take a hit even the slightest on both color and contrast (even when slanted).

2) I really wanted to say “yes” that this is a superior TV over the LG (Had a C7 before this) but I’d say its pretty much the same. Some Pro reviews even point out that the C7 is better when it comes to presenting subtle details (HDTVTEST.com).

Motion handling though is better.

Too expensive for SONY to create their own panels. LG was able to mass produce the tv panels since they bought the technology from KODAK. KODAKs demise was a blessing for LG.

SONY used to make their own OLED panels,  Sayang, dapat tinuloy nila.  They were many years ahead of everyone, including LG and Samsung.

I don’t normally watch in our den so this TV has not been “on” since Mid December.  So I gave it a go after watching and playing from my bedroom 6103 for months now and the observations are:

-  From a resolution stand point halos little difference between the cheaper Sammy from this Sony (Sharpness/Clarity)...But when it came down to HDR performance the difference soon became very apparent...Sony’s black levels and color dynamics ran way way pass the Korean counterpart.

Along with The C7...A very good looking TV with unparalleled IQ performance.

The Sony OLED looks dope......pero everytime I see it sa appliance stores, I cringe at the slant/tilt.

Thankfully Sony is releasing the A8F/AF8 which has no slant/tilt

Everything is the same from A1E, except the stand and the extra woofer.  Dapat kapareho lang sila nang price.
