Saw the first two episodes already. I'm happy the show is back but every episode is also bittersweet, knowing this is the final season. The second episode is even stronger than the first one. Edie Falco is getting another Emmy for that alone. Plus, there is another dream sequence to ponder on.

^I'm holding off reading that article until I finish viewing my eps. 10 and 11.  It's been pickling in the hard drive for close to 3 weeks now.  I'm just waiting for the right time to break out a six-pack and fire up the two eps in one shot.  Maybe when school's back in next week and early bedtime is enforced again in this madhouse.

A lot were disappointed with the finale but I wasn't. The scene between Tony and Phil was enough to end the season on a strong note. 'Till January...

Its like Godfather on TV. Very good casting almost all the cast have portrayed wise guys role on prvious movies. I still remember Micheal Imperioli as a utos boy on of the mafis flicks, I think its Godfellas.

Was able to catch the first of the final episodes last night and what can I say. You can definitely feel the series is ending.  Tony's wieghing options, New York is making its moves and the feds are bearing down. As far as the homefront is concerned, things are shaking up as well.  In fact, the whole ep focused on Tony, Carmela, Janice and Bobby spending time at a lakehouse near the Canadian border. Let's just say it wasn't at all as idyllic as it sounds.

Anybody been watching these last eps?

The last one (AJ in pool) was one heck of a roller coaster ride. I don't remember laughing at more scenes than in any other ep since Season 1, and yet it was so gripping in parts i found myself squishing the beer can i haven't even opened yet. Very satisfying ep for fans of either of Tony's families and the Melfi sessions. I wish it would quit tho with the peyote epiphany whatever the fcuk that is.

Scene of the season so far: Tony flying solo and doing an American History X on Coco. Definitively shattered any illusion we might have been entertaining of the Big Guy being on his way to a loftier place.

what do you think of the (final scene of the) final episode?

a lot of fans are irate at how it all ended.

i say it was genius.

Not having seen it (but read about it)... I can only speculate.  It leaves an opening for a continuation if they ever decide?

well it doesn't provide plot closure, but in my view, it's a fitting capstone for the saga, if anything else.

let's just say that thematically, the episode wouldn't be too out of place in 24.

Honestly, when I watched this last Sunday night at Movie Central, I was one of the people who went WTF? Did my cable service just go down? :)  I immediately checked the SD Movie Central channel to see if it was down, and nope... Screen was also black! ;D

But, having slept on it, I can't imagine the show ending any other way. It was a perfect ending for the show, actually, in my opinion.

Blindsided here as well and I liked that I was.  A neat and tidy ending wrapped and tied up with a bow would have smacked of pandering to TV conventions and fly in the face of this series' stature as being nothing TV has ever seen before.  I like this one.  True to form, brave, an instant classic. Bravo!

So, I've been catching up on The Sopranos lately on HBO Go. Even though I've been spoiled by some of the key deaths, I'm still really enjoying it. It holds up very well.

The mob, nostalgia and good music always go hand in hand, timeless .......... The Sopranos won't be leaving that Mt Rushmore of TV series anytime soon.

After all these years, I finally finished The Sopranos. What a brilliant show. Deserved all its Emmys and MORE. Here are my top 10 favorite episodes:

01. "Long Term Parking"
02. "Pine Barrens"
03. "Whitecaps"
04. "Whoever Did This"
05. "College"
06. "Amour Fou"
07. "The Sopranos (Pilot)"
08. "Kennedy and Heidi"
09. "The Knight in White Satin Armor"
10. "Made In America"

P.S. I think Tony is most definitely dead.
