Suggestions pls : 65” that’s not entry level
« on: May 04, 2018 at 03:53 AM »
Looking to get a 65” 4K tv.

The one I’m seeing a lot of lately is the LG 65UJ6320. It has all the basic features but the reviews aren’t that good in terms of picture quality.

I started looking more closely at other brands. My first choice would be Panasonic. This brand has never let me down. The only option they have locally for a 65”er is the TH-65EX750S. https://www.panasonic.com/sg/consumer/television/led-tv/th-65ex750s.html

Now this is something I like. It has better LCDs. Local dimming, etc.

Unfortunately this model seems to have just abot vanished. Tried olx and our merchants here and no one is replying to my inquiries about this unit.

Need suggestions please on what other models can fit the bill. Local dimming and good LCDs are essential for me I think.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the suggestion. The price difference is quite prohibitive.
What are the equivalent models from LG and Samsung?

Just get the Samsung 6103 flat or 6303 curved just like everyone else did.
84" 100" 120" 150" Motorized or Manual Projector Screens still available. Just pm.

I am not sure if the QLEDs of Samsung have local dimming... LG SUHD TVs just have average contrast, not unless you'll go LG OLED which os more expensive than Sony's x9000 series

You can check out also TCL 65x3...
They have micro dimming tech but not sure if its the same as local dimming. It sells around 88K to 90K which also comes with built in Harman Kardon audio

Thanks sa suggestion. OLED won’t have Local dimming because the oleds themselves provide the illumination.

I’ll check out TCL and the Samsung that was mentioned above.

Based on the specs of the Samsung it has Uhd dimming. I’m not sure what that is but I’ll look into it.

Yup, I know know this as I have previously owned an OLed TV, which is the best LG could offer...

I owned now a Sony 75x9000e which is way better for me than LG's SUHD LCD TVs or Samsung QLEDs which is why I suggested the 65x9000e of the newer x9000f models ;)

thanks but those are way over my budget of about 65kish.

i spent most of the weekend looking around and didn't find a single tv.
seems like it's the time of the year when new tv's haven't rolled out yet and the old ones are no longer in stock.

i've been offered 2018 LG tv's but they're way overpriced.

i can't believe i'm not able to buy a decent tv right now considering im a cash buyer! it's frustrating, really!

What is the budget? Is the TV gonna be used more in a bright or dark room? Is wide viewing angle important?

X8500e or the newer x8500f seems to fit but looks life they have different panels, IPS on the x8500F

But with a budget of 65K, mu6103  or Sony x7007e (IPS Panel?)

thanks for the links. I texted and called both of those sellers and neither of them responded. There were a few more that I called and they said that they don't have any more stocks of this particular unit.

This was my first choice. Sayang wala na.

You must be psychic!

I just bought a TV today. It was a Sony 65X8500e. Got it for less than 70k. :)
I'll set it up tonight and check it out tomorrow. Thanks for everyone who helped!

Saw that x8500e on OLX too, thats a very good buy indeed for a model that's been selling for 85k++. Enjoy your new screen!

Saw this 4K Android TV at Anson's Makati last weekend selling for almost 60K cash/straight charge. I was impressed by the picture quality and features.

https://sharp.ph/product-list/lc-60ua6800x/?utm_source=crb-lp&utm_medium=link_model-60-6800

Would like to hear first any reviews or experience from anyone who owns this or have seen this. Reviews on the web is quite scarce. Is the Sharp brand a good quality for 4K TVs? Are there better alternative out there for a 4K Smart/Android TV, 60in to 65innfor a budget of 60K?
