Luke Walton wasn't a Magic Johnson-hire - Luke came from Mitch Kupchak.

Any NBA team management would want to handpick their own head-coach .......... eh nandiyan pa si Lebron, na siyang tunay na GM nang LAKERS.

Luke probably gets replaced by the offseason.

Here's the problem with luke. He was drafted 32nd in 2003. Lebron was drafted 1st 2003. #32 coaching #1 doesnt seem right does it?

I think you missed the part na pareho silang from 2003. One became a young coach, yet to accomplish something; one became one of the greats. E mabuti sana kung laos na si lbj. Kaso hindi, he is still the man. Tapos ipapa coach mo lang sa ka batch nya?

wala naman problema kung ka batch mo lang ang nag cocoach eh. naniniwala ka ba na mas pinapakinggan boses ni luke kesa ky lebron?

pero luke is a good coach for me. sana di sya mapalitan. there's still a lack of support kaya di nagtutuloy tuloy ang success. remember how great he is when he was appointed as interim coach of warriors before.

Same observation like before, magulo rotation ni Luke, kahapon maganda laro ni Wagner, tapos binangko lang din, sya lang makikitaan mo ng fighting spirit kahapon eh. Yung ibang players like Kuzma at Ingram parang affected yung laro dahil sa trade rumor.

IMO not a biggie issue here ............ some players are destined to have a long career on the court, while some are seen as having a better career in the sidelines - be it a coach or a GM.

Luke Walton was a known role player - saw very limited playing time, but usually known for quality minutes. The guy did play 9 NBA seasons, was part of 2 championship teams. Noong naglalaro pa lang, kita na nang marami na pwedeng maging head coach balang araw.

It's no coincidence that many of those seen as having a coaching or GM career are mostly fringe/role yet affable players e.g. Kerr, Walton, Brooks, Carlisle, Doc, James Jones, Marks, Demps, Hoiberg,  etc.

Many of the current NBA head coaches like Popovich, Spoelstra, Stevens, Budenholzer, Snyder, Stotts, Donovan, Malone, Atkinson, Nurse, Clifford, Thibodeau, Joerger, Kokoskov, Fizdale, etc ........... never even played in the NBA.

If they do get AD and/or another marquee free agent this offseason they probably will hand the reins of the team to a more accomplished coach. Luke did his job....and that is to prep the youngsters for 2 to 3 years.

if the Lakers will trade half of their roster, malamang they will miss the playoffs as Davis is not playing pa nga because of injury. nanghihinayang lang ako sa development ng young guys nila, then after LeGM will leave the Lakers magiging parang Cleveland sila ngayon. takot kasi ang Lakers na magaya kay Paul George si AD kaya parang they are desperate to get AD at all cost.

agree. yan din pansin ko sa rotation ni Luke, minsan parang nde nanunuod ng laro eh haha.. minsan kung sino mainit eh biglang ilalabas, parang mag stick pa din sya sa number of minutes nya para sa tao nya.

dun ako bilib kay Baby Dalupan dati, he may not be a great tactician pero galing nya bumalasa ng tao nya, alam nya kung sino ipapasok at ilalabas at nakikita nya kung mga mismatches at capitalizes it to their advantage.

Lakers offered Ball, Kuzma, Ingram, Lance, Rondo, Beasley, and 2 future first round picks for Anthony Davis and Solomon Hill (favor pa to since it's cap relief on NO's part).

Lakers basically made a godfather offer to them and the Pelicans declined.

As a Laker fan, I'm slightly relieved that they didn't take it. 50/50 ako sa trade na yan since it would be gutting the team, basically. Ang upside nung trade if it happened is that LAL can have 3 max superstars for next season (i.e. Davis, Lebron, Kahwi/KD/Klay/whoever).

Dell Demps is right to wait ........... wait until the ultra-best LAKERS offer (includes 4x 1R picks) come or wait for the offseason - where the LAKERS will still bid and other teams will bid as well.

A CELTICS offer with Tatum as the centerpiece, should be better than a LAKERS offer with Ingram as centerpiece.

Dell Demps is in a position of power right now, he has the best player that everybody wants ........... kahon lang nang kahon, hanggang dumating ang overwhelming offer.

Demps doesn't have to decide now ... Lakers have no choice but to  sweeten the pot further if the trade doesn't happen before the deadline ... one thing going against the Lakers is that they are a Western conference team, beefing up their line-up with one of the best players will be bad for NOLA's chances for getting into the playoffs - trade with an Eastern team will not have such effect ... and there's the human side of not giving in to what Anthony Davis wants ... if Lakers do not get such caliber of player to partner Lebron soon, their chances of winning the championship with Lebron diminishes ... as great as Lebron is, he is no match to father time - skills will diminish, more recovery time, and he's now more prone to injuries
