sir,

kung napalitan nyo na with the same type of fuse yung nasira at nagkaron ng humming sound pagtapos, possible na may nasira na parts sa amp section.  Pwede nyong dalhin sa amin para ma check kung anong sira, we don't charge anything naman for the diagnosis and we leave it to the owner kung gustong pagawa sa amin or hindi.

thanks

Hi sir,

I have a vintage 6inch full range speaker driver that uses alnico magnets (a round magnet in a square enclosure). It got busted voice coil (rated at 3watts 8ohms). Can it still be recoiled?

TIA

We'll rewind the voice coil (with new wire).  Outcome is same as original rating (@3 watts, 8 ohms).

thanks

ty sir mojo_jojosh. isa pa po, meron po akong jbl tweeter driver le-20 which is galing sa l-100 model. narepair napo yung kanyang coil at nilagyan ng mighty bond yung dust cap. the problem is mahina at iba na rin tumunog at medyo sira na rin yung cone. do you think na possible siyang palitan ng new cone at dust cap?
eto po yung kamukhang pic

sir joey,

That is a trademark of Raon speaker repair.

sir,

if under warranty pa naman yang sub mo then it's best to bring it to the dealer para menos gastos at hassle ka.

just my two cents

thanks

Hi, mojo. I have a pair of Pinnacle PN8+ (6 ohms) speakers that's around 15 yrs old. One of them has been buzzing, especially on deep bass signals, for several months now. Di ko lang pinapansin noon, pero lately, it's been bothering me more and more. When I touch the woofer, nawawala. Pag bitawan, naroon ulit. Wala naman akong napapansing butas sa mga materyales. What could be the problem? Can you fix this? How much do you guess this repair would be? Thanks.

sir,

i think the problem is the voice coil baka may putol or natanggal na pagka rewind.  We can fix the problem. sir paki  measure po yung diameter ng speaker nyo then yung rates is nasa first page of this topic.

thanks po.

Sir,

I went to your place today. I left my two 6inch drivers.

The first driver have busted coil, the dust cap have been removed, but it is inside the package as well. This is the unit I want repaired.
The second driver has no problem, but just the same, I left this unit for your reference only.

They are high sensitivity drivers, about 95 to 99dB. Will rewinding it not alter the sensitivity?

How long will it entail to repair the busted unit? I left my contact phone(s) to the lady receiver in the house.

Thanks for the help.

sir pabili,

rewinding the voice coil will not change the sensitivity, lalo na you left us a  reference.  Usually three days.  Will contact you immediately as soon as your speaker is ready for pick-up.

thanks

Got it. 8" ang woofer. Di ko lang alam kung 2 or 4 layers siya. Pero okay lang. Got your prices.

Just busy this week. I'll call you early next week. Do you prefer to have the matching speaker as reference?

Thanks.

(P.S. What do you mean di kayo parang Raon speaker repair? In what ways are you different? Sorry, I don't know how they work kasi, eh.)

I got my repaired speakers yesterday, fired it side by side with my undamaged unit, listen for 2 hours trying to point a degradation in sound quality, dynamics, sensitivity (by ear). Tried lots of MYMP, Jheena, susan. It is a sigh of relief - my beloved precious full range alive again and well. Not a hint of unusual artifacts.

The speaker is probably '70s, high sensitivity. Per benedict, the cone is alittle bit crispy, can easily break. The surround is an integral part of the cone itself. The trace of repair can be noticed in the surround area. But the return of the cone cone-surround assembly is done with no trace of bad workmanship. An extra chemical provided on the surround area to re-strengthen the material after it has been lifted from the speaker basket. The spider mounting is also ok. An interview with benedict indicated that they are equipped to handle good voice coil repair as I have seen it done pictured in one of an internet site.

I invited my brother to try it with his busted drivers.

Hi Benedict, I will come back for the repair of the following (how much):
- 3 soundtrack 2inch cone tweeter (I will provide a reference unit as well)
- installation of surround for two 6.5inch drivers
- repair of an AKAI horn voice coil (I will provide reference driver for this as well)
- 2 RAMSA horn tweeter (no reference)

Thanks for the good service!  8)
