As per Hemisphere1234's (a.k.a. the King of OOP & LE) suggesstion to start a new thread on Limited Edition DVD/Sets from around the world, including any collectible & cool packaging sets.

The compilation will be served as a reference library for all....as the King of OOP & LE puts it..."feast our eyes to these wonderful world of LE's!"

I have this set. I also have The Exorcist set from the same maker. The senitype carrier was signed by Linda Blair!!!

vojdiaz, wow u r so lucky man! Is the signing from Linda Blair randomly or on every Exorcist set? Or those signed sets are selling with extra cost?

If I'm not mistaken, another set, The Perfect Storm from the same maker also has the signed set. Can't recall actual cost but remember it's indeed mahal!

I believe the signature was random, i remember getting 3 sets of The Matrix and 1 set of The Exorcist, (there are actually 2 other members who own that set

). I remember I was quite disappointed with The Exorcist set because the carrier for the senitype, which was enclosed in plastic, was opened - before I noticed the signature. Wow, mahal na pala sya. Maybe because it's Clooney. I have no idea how much it cost now.

I bought the set then thinking that there are a lot of collectors for this kind of collector set. I ended up selling it at cost and even below cost because there were no takers. Looking at all you avid collectors now, maybe I was a little bit ahead in my anticipation. It is only now that the likes of you, hemi, jeckjeck, blitz and others are appreciating this type of DVDs, a few years back, we were all just going for the Criterions.

HMV are taking orders for a very limited edition release of the Alien Quadrilogy packaged in a replica Alien head. This is already a much sought-after set having been given limited releases in Japan (for a whopping retail price of around £160) and some European countries. You can now own one yourself without the massive price tag you'd have to pay through eBay or if you import it from another country. At a shade under £100, this might not sound cheap, but for fans of the series it's a must buy and a relative bargain.

The image below shows the European version of the 'Head' and it is expected to be identical to the HMV release.

Yep me too. Only the GBP15 is applicable pero the other GBP20 code won't work kasi our order is below GBP100. The item price is GBP99.99 dba. Sayang kasi GBP0.01 lang we got to pay extra GBP5

baby, i suggest you get the Alien Head available for "preorder only" from HMV UK. masmura ng 50% compared to the Alien Head of Japan.

the DTS features are the same with the R1 quadrilogy release. but if you're looking for DTS on all the films, Japan Release is the only viable option.. mahal nga lang...

Don't worry Flyboy, the GBP20 is only applicable for purchase GBP100 & above. In our case, the Alien Head cost is GBP99.99 (short of 0.01!) so the discount code has no effect on us.

Its OK, got some good news the other night re tax for I-robot. Btw, just confirmed with Amazon.co.jp, they're using DHL for Int'l. Express shipping. My only worry now is the tax for Alien Head... :'(
