suave! aluminium bass drivers!

though i am satisfied with my S2's, inggit ako dahil i've had my S2's for less than a year and now they've come up with a newer (i hope better) series.

do you know when they would be available locally and how much would they cost?

Di pa siguro. Am pretty satisfied with them! Pero kung affordable yung S3 tapos I could sell my S2's for a good price, why not? Masarap syempre if you have the latest rev. of your product.

BTW, got the bass shakers installed. Suave!

Guys,

Last Saturday we went to this KTV bar along Roosevelt Ave. infront of Bayantel (some of you guys may have been there). There were these two speakers (floor standing models) mounted horizontally w/ bookshelve brackets. When the lights were turn on and I inspected it, lo and behold they were B&W floorstanding (ganda ng tunog). But I don't know their models. Yun lang po.

benjiboys,
i advise you to save your money and not buy the S3's since you already have the S2's. You will only be upgrading horizontally on the product line and you will lose money however good a price you sell your old speaker. Why not save some more dough and go up the B&W line to the CDM with free mounted Nautilus tweeters. With this move you will get a better upgrade from your present setup.

I need to buy a pair of front speakers with a budget of P32,000. I am looking at B&W 603 Series 2. Do you have any other recommended speaker brands/model that could fit my budget? Where can I get it and who's the contact person.

By the way, OK ba yung Heybrook HB3? How does it compare to B&W 603 Series 2?

Thanks for the info. I will try first to go to Sounds & Cinema and try to look at the JBL speakers. My friends also told me that they also carry B&W, Mission, & Heybrook. I just hope I can find the speaker that I want.

I get what you mean. B&W 800 series is almost like the ultimate listening experience.

Once you listen to B&W's Nautilus 800 series, you won't think of JBL again. Unless of course the budget doesn't agree. Which in most cases is true. Kahit yun 805 na bookshelf speakers lang, hanep tumunog.

Bottom line is what your ear likes. You may buy the best speaker money can buy, but if you don't like how it sounds its not worth a cent.

FYI, the B&W 601 S3 got a 5-star rating in the Jan 2002 of What Hifi? Sound and Vision magazine.

Also, it seems that the price of the 601s3 has gone up from that of the 601s2 by 50 pounds. Most likely, that means it would cost around the P16-18K range when it arrives here.

Kung pang audio only, I recommend you listen to Sonus Faber Concertino or try to find a 2nd hand B&W CDM1NT! These bookshelves will give you at least 5 years before thinking of upgrading again. Hope this helps...

hey guys

last dec i was able to talk to a guy (m not sure if hes one the owners) who distributes b&w speakers here along with 2 pinoydvd friends(esi and pioneer) , sabi nya wala syang balita when these new models will arrive to our local stores.
Levi i asked ur question (mine also) to him if the prices of S2 would go down, sabi nya "No"

Thanks for the info. Convinced na ata ako sa 603. Halos lahat na kaibigan ko 603 and recommendation. Anyway, sabi nila wag daw magmadali...Good things will come daw for those who wait!

Binili mo na ba yung 603 S2 mo? Galing ako Sights and Sounds kanina and they gave the 603S2 for P32k as well. Tinanong ko na if ever lumabas ang Series 3, malaki ba ang price difference and the sales guy said na normally, 1k to 2k lang daw ang difference. The problem is, he doesn't know when it will arrive. Nakakahinayang kasi kung lumabas ng Feb or March yung series 3.
