PAMBANSANG MUSEO ng PELIKULA
« on: Aug 18, 2005 at 12:26 PM »
Finally our very own National Film Museum will be open to the public tomorrow located at the Mowelfund, 66 Rosario Drive, Q.C.

Visit the museum and feel nostalgic once again, those mementos of movie memorabilia will take you back in time, the good old days of Philippine Cinema.

Yesterday evening, I was able to grace the grand opening of the Pambansang Museo ng Pelikula at the Mowelfund compound in Quezon City. When I got there, the likes of Herbert Bautista, German Moreno and Imelda Marcos were giving speeches (or in Imelda’s case rambling!) as the rain started to pour.

For those who have been to the Mowelfund Compound in previous instances will see the major changes that have undertaken. For one thing, the driveway separating the Tama Ng Cinema and the coop canteen has enclosed with a roof and the canteen itself has been converted in museum space. (they moved the canteen outback near the gate) The offices have been converted as well into exhibit areas.

Lest I be accused again of being "a weirdo because how can you spend so much time in cyberspace grumbling and griping about your miserable life and blaming others for it, " I'll leave it to you guys to make your own assesment of the museum. Do drop by before an entrance fee is charged. Hehe.

I'll drop by probably next week RMN, and assess it myself. If Imelda Marcos was there, did she contribute anything to the museum, like any memorabilia from the ECP?

Mas madali kung sasakay ka ng LRT 2 (purple line) tapos baba ka ng Betty Go Belmonte station.

Sir RMN, hindi pa raw open to the public...study/tour groups and field trips lang daw ina-accomodate nila. Kelan kaya puwede ang walk-ins?

Really? Gusto mo bang makita? I'll ask. Pero parang alam ko yung dahilan kung bakit.
