EHEM! :)

Interested :)

February 2018 bro. ;)

I still got a super priority project to finish, got to work on this lang as metal works and powder coating plants are on holiday vacation. After that wala muna ako accept, I've been commissioned to do an esoteric audio research phono preamp too. I can feel the "darkside" of the force growing  this coming year! ;D ;D ;D

Requires extreme patience. Must painstakingly match each and every part that goes into it, not just the RIAA, but everything! Sometimes I wish that time has a pause button.  ::)

First 3 lang muna tayo ha... pasensiya na mahina ang kalaban.  ;D

Doing my own anodizing on aluminum parts for my projects now. Tedious for it's many steps but fun to do chemistry. ;D
Cleanliness is mandatory. Parts must be free from $hit. ;D

Industrial strength degreaser.

Alkaline etching solution.

It starts to bubble once the part is immersed in the alkaline etch.

Made a quickie psu using an old transformer and a salvaged schottky barrier full-wave diode.

I used a lead flashing sheet laying around for my cathode.

Sit back and watch electrochemistry at work.

Added a Jigsaw Cutting Jig to my existing Edge Banding Jig. Sayang plywood plus para maging multi-purpose jig siya. This is going to be a big help for cutting aluminum sheet stock for my projects. ;)

Prepped some leftover plywood which will serve as guides for the jigsaw.

Temporarily screwed the guides to the edge banding jig platform.

Installed using wing nuts for easy tightening and loosening. Also glued a piece of scrap wood to serve as an end stopper.

Initial cut to the plywood platform.

And it works like a charm.

My old 15Amp 13.8VDC regulated power used during the haydays of VHF radios. Busted regulator, busted this and that. Jammer kasi eh. ;D

Tranny still working... time to revive it.

Not much left of the original board...

So I made a new one, but this time it will be fully adjustable from 4V to 18V so I can use it as a high current lab supply.

Needed a quickie solution so I can replace the analog meter with the digital one... CNC to the rescue...

And it's working again!!!

Everything was fine na sana eh, unfortunately while I was having coffee I noticed the word "COURSE" is wrong!!!!!!!!!!! Dapat COARSE siya. Punyemas wrong spelling ako! ;D ;D ;D  Oh well, bahala na si Abacus Robot gumawa ng bago niyan with the right spelling. 8)

Thanks Tony. Meron pa nag exist kaso nasa Binan Laguna. I'm wondering why they are closing down? It may not be a lucrative business but I'm sure there will be people wanting to have at least something anodized. Most plating/chroming shops nowadays don't offer anodizing anymore eh. Diyan sa Del Monte near A. Bonifacio Ave meron ako nakita plating shop but no anodizing.

Ricky suggested a supplier too, will check it out this week kung pwede hindi bulk size ang buy sa kanila. Just in case may info ka please let me know, I'm starting to do colored anodizing pero as it is medyo hit or miss pa ako. Practice makes for more practice. ;D
