Sale of the month! It's primarily a Viva event though with all 1-disc and 2-disc Fox titles re-priced to P299 (except for the newest releases). Sale will last until August and will run in all major DVD retail outlets. Picked up the following:

Dodgeball
Road to Perdition
De-Lovely

They were busy with the stickers when I walked in. I saw them marking down lots of Fox titles including:

X-Men and X-Men 2
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
Passion of the Christ
Minority Report
28 Days Later
Daredevil: Director's Cut

No clear answer on how long this markdown is going to last. The Astroplus guy I was talking to said it could last longer than a month. I'll contact Viva directly for details.

They only started re-pricing at lunchtime. Good thing we decided to eat first before dropping by. Don't know why they started so late or why they didn't inform you that they were going to mark down the Fox titles.

saw some of these titles w/ their Php299.00 marked down price at astroPLUS SM City Cebu after my attention was called to it by my suking saleslady, so i guess this is a nationwide SALE......

Just got i-robot se 2 disc for 299 sa video city town center, viva sale din to. natuwa nga ako kase sa odyssey 900 pa din kahit alam ko na isesale din yun, he he! Other titles i saw:

There's Something about mary
dodgeball unrated version
stuck on you

bad boys 2 se 2 disc ed
garfield the movie
passion of christ
ice age extreme edition 2 disc

...at marami pang iba meron ding mga tagalog titles.

These are the real deal just marked down! Not unlike magnavision's 299 discs which were basically stripped down. So parang di talaga naka mura. Man! I'm surely gona buy at least the 2-disc editions. Mas sulit yung amount for the double discs.

Bought I, Robot. Gona look out for...

Fox ba yun Bad Boys 2? I thought Columbia siya. Thus, Magnavision ang may rights to this sa home video.

Sakin ok naman and yun nga imagine the 900 to 299 price drop. Dun pa lang sulit na. Parang nabasa ko ata sa isang thread dito na hindi ok ang mga c-interactive dvd releases.

C-Interactive? I don't touch them. Being fullscreen transfers is enough reason for me to not purchase them.

i saw all those titles @ astro sm north... they have a viva sticker at the back which made me have 2nd thoughts, but since u said its the real deal, that's great!

they even have x-men 1.5

Sa video city ATC nandun sa rack sa labas sa tabi ng entrance yung mga sale may viva sticker na 299. Ok na ok yung i-robot may dts pa kaya binili ko na. 2 kopya na lang daw natitira sa kanila. Yung bad boys 2 columbia ata yun e pero sigurado ako 299 price nya may sticker siya.Ang labo nga e kase may ice age sila dun sa loob yung 2 disc edition din mahal pa tapos may on sale sila sa labas same 2 disc ed 299 lang.Piangkumpara ko walang pinagkaiba. Nung tinanong ko bakit ganun kase daw kakasale lang nila hindi pa lahat nalalabas meaning marami pang isesale. Abang na mga adiks!

Nga pala, yung minority 2 disc din ba? Ano pa nakita nyong 2 disc na sale?

Maraming I, Robot sa Astroplus sa Podium. Yung Daredevil Director's Cut ba single disc lang? Ganun ba talaga yun?

Lahat to meron na ko, di kaya magkakaroon ng Day after Tomorrow. Nag-rent lang ako sa VidoeOne sa LKG Tower para mapanood ulit kaso gusto ko magkaroon.

Actually naghahanap din ako ng The Day After Tomorrow 2-Disc Edition. Went the rounds of video stores. Di yata kasali sa sale yun. But alam ko nirelease din siya kasabay ng I, Robot.

- yes, Daredevil Director's Cut is 1 disc only, but dual-layer.

- Ice Age is just regular edition. The Extreme Edition is not on sale.

- Day After Tomorrow is not included on the list.

Ano ba yung dual-sided? Kasi yung nakita kong disc is may print yung isang side. And the other one is the playable side.

About yung Ice Age, sa Astro Megamall kasama sa sale yung Extreme Edition.

Ice Age extreme cool edition is actually included. There should be a list posted here

Yes, what is Dual-sided you mean. I know dual sided titles are Ben-hur, Superman and Universal Soldier. Double sided is DVD-10, DVD-18 & DVD-14. Most of the title today is only single sided. I think you mean to say dual-layer. Am I correct?

No, it's one disc that's dual-layer. You actually have more special features in the original (theatrical version) two-disc release.
