I bought I, Robot yesterday. The clerk told me na tapos na sale. 
Sabe ko, kala ko buong July sale. He called someone and confirmed that the sale is up to the end of the month. I paid P299 for the I, Robot DVD. 

Dodgeball Unrated Edition was not part of the sale according to the same clerk.

How is  Viva's Planet of the Apes? Is it as good as its R1 version? Two-discs din ba?

Again, two versions for this. A single disc edition, and a double disc edition that has a DTS logo at the side.

I went to Video City, and Dodgeball wasn't tagged. I asked the salesgirl why it wasn't part of the sale (since I remembered firewired said he got this title on sale), and she said the memo from VIVA stated that ALL Fox titles released six months ago and older were to be included. I asked her to check the computer for when Dodgeball was released. A few clicks later...

hmmm... lagi naman eh. i highly recommend Videocity ATC.

Videocity at ATC is the one near the cinemas right?  i always pass by it.. i never go inside because the place is so small and crowded.  i thought they only have few dvd selections and more of vcds.  kala ko nga nung una rentals lang eh.     but now that you've mentioned it, i think i'm gonna go check it out.

Guys, just came back from podium.   They futher marked down the price of most dvds (i think) to 250, by packaging 2 to 3 dvds.

and Runaway Jury for 299.

Daredevil is no longer included.

They're both single discs ata!!! but if you're lucky enough (like me ) to stumble on the Special Editions, those are the double disc versions packed with features including dts

Mga single disc na yung mga lumalabas ngayon.  During the first two days ng sale nakita ko yung Die Hard 1 & 2 special 2-disc edition kasama sa sale.

I can confirm na Yung Planet of the Apes (Mark Wahlberg) ay yung 2-disc edition.  Saw this at Odyseey Mega & Astro Podium...one copy each na lang.

Man on Fire kasama sa sale.  Saw it sa Astro Podium.  The Day After Tomorrow, since the sale started, I haven't seen it mapa single or 2-disc version.

What I have are double discs.  These are both special editions.  I think the Die hard 1 R3 is about the same as the 2-disc 5-star edition in R1.  They went on sale last year for P350 at astro.  Try to feel the case and see if it's a bit heavier than most single disc titles.  Ofcourse the prints should say if it's double disc.  And you can always ask the counter.  They're definitely a steal for 350 at that time.

Yup, DH2 is also 2-disc.  Unless they've downgraded it like other 2-disc titles.  The Hitchcock thriller Stranger on the Train is also 2-disc and was on sale last May for 299.

I went to Astrovision SM Centerpoint and I was told that DODGEBALL was not included and true enough, I was shown the official list of P299 dvds as of July 15, 2005. Before that I saw one in the SM Department Store but since there was small tatter on the plastic seal, I hid it just to be sure. After I was told that Viva has pulled out DODGEBALL from the P299 list, I went back to the department store and bought the one I hid hehee.

So the moral of the story is..if you can't find a better bargain at Astrovision, go look for it at the SM Department Store..

Regarding DIE HARD 1 and 2 being bargained now, although 2-disc, they have actually replaced the first R3 2-disc issues which are all in DTS..Now the regretful part is I sold my copies a long time ago..

To those who got Moulin Rouge 2 discs for 299:

There are 15 easter eggs on the 2nd disc as listed on dvdtalk. I can only find the first 9. The last 6 are found on the still galleries of The Design and Marketing. The problem is I can't access these still galleries, it only shows how to access the still gallery. But when you press the next or previous button on the remote, nothing happens! Can someone confirm if you have the same problem. Thanks.

Man on Fire (Denzel Washington) kasama sa Astro Podium sale.  I distinctly remember it kasi napansin ko siya for the very reason na I scanned all the new titles na sinama sa sale.  May mga dinagdag na mga new titles kasi dun sa 299 price.

Siguro banggitin mo na bakit sa Astro Podium kasama yun Man on Fire sa sale.
