^get the biggest of them all, hinayang nga ako e, when I got my center, di pa lumalabas yang mxc3, so I settled for the mxc2, yang center speaker kasi, para sa akin, is the workhorse among the speakers(except sub) in terms of movies,......para gusto ko ngang palitan yung center ko e into c3 >:D

Hi, just want to know why you want the mxc3, is there any issue with the mxc2? bitin ba sa vocals? just asking because im planning to get mx4 and mxc2 and gusto ko lang maka siguro na tama bibilin ko. thanks

Mxc2 malakas yan sir, make sure proper calibration lang. Built alot of MX series using MXc2, no prob at all bro.

hi guys. am thinking of setting up my home theatre with the ff:
- MV8 for front
- MVC for center
- MV4 for surround

AVR will most likely be a Yamaha RX-V377 100W per channel, 5.1 unit.
I have an old M&K VX12 with 12-inch, 100W subwoofer to supplement the system.
Entertainment area is only 13sqm but behind it is an open dining area and kitchen, totalling an open area of 50sqm

Will this be a good setup?  If not, can you recommend a better one in the same price range of P26k?  I noticed during speaker testing that the tone shifts from front (MV8) to center (MVC) and front to rear (MV4)?  Is this setup really matched for each other?  Thanks in advance.

You want an honest opinion? I don't suggest the MV Series. Might aswell spens your 26k sa MX3 fronts muna. 2ch setup ka muna, build them slow, then to follow and center and rear.

Thank you very much for the advise. I also found out that the MV Series has been discontinued by Mission. It was a nice option for the budget I have, as other brands can only offer bookshelf speakers for the fronts. I guess its back to the drawing boards. Will try to audition the MX and also other brands (ie. Q-Acoustics, Monitor Audio, Polk Audio).

May I ask if the MX3 is enough for a 16sqm listening area in 50sqm total open area?
Also, is the Yamaha RX-V475 a good match for Mission's MX3,MXC1,MXS Series?

As an option, I am now looking at the ff. setup  MX3 for front and MXC1 for center, located 9-12 ft away from the sofa.  MXS for rear, located immediately behind the sofa.  Note that there is a dining area and kitchen behind the living area without walls in between.

In the search for a nice 5.1 setup for my home, I realized that the RX-V377 is not yet available in the Philippines. I have contacted Yamaha in the U.S. and they only have 110v models, unlike the 110/220v models that are shipped internationally.  Hence, I am now looking at the RX-V475 with . . .
-  115 W per channel (8 ohms, 1 kHz, 0.9% THD, 1 ch driven)
-  80 W per channel (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.09% THD, 2 ch driven)
While I won't have the CINEMA FRONT feature (which allows placement of the surround speakers in front ... like a soundbar), at least I won't have to wait and also get warranty.

Any help would be appreciated.

Seems this thread has been abandoned.  Anyway, after auditioning the MX3, MX4, Polk TSx and a few more, I decided to get Monitor Audio's very new MR4, MRC, MR1 set. It perfectly fits my listening taste ... bright on movies and warm vocals on audio, when coupled with Yamaha RX-V receiver ... plus crystal clear mid/highs and good thumping bass.

Planning to upgrade my center and fronts to MX.  Is M74 to MX4 an upgrade or just a sidegrade?

hi sir tein, if it's a bit warmer, does it mean it's better?  VX is the most affordable in Mission series..

It actually depends on the clients listening preference sir, it doesn't necessarily mean it sounds better but its flatter.. I can't personally say it sounds bad, ako kasi i prefer flat sounding speakers kasi I tend to watch movie at high volume talaga :)

warmer means a bit more on the bass side, brighter means a bit more on the treble side.

but warmer speakers does not always be on the better side, because better sound quality depends on your personal preference, amp used for mixing and matching amp and speakers, room size, source, room acoustics, wires used, and so much more.  :)
