Musta PQ ng X9s + iScan mini VS htpc + iScan mini ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Actually Zidoo projects sharp images comparable to my HTPC with an old video card (ATI HD5550). The quality is like playing a file with Splash PRO in my HTPC sans the SOE. Running Kodi (HTPC) vs ZDMC (Zidoo), Zidoo has better PQ. Playing BD ISOs in Zidoo has better PQ than playing BDs in my PS3. Don't take my word for this yet as I have only tried a few discs and ISO files. I need somebody else to affirm this observation.

Doc

Need your opinion, Would dual subs do better on concrete slab or wood?

I just recovered a houseful of yakal wood floors,(from a 1946 house) framing and posts and plan to expand my HT.
Cheaper to do concrete slabs , but with such materials at my disposal, cuts the material cost for me, more toys to get  sana

Bro Jim sorry I am in no position to give a comment regarding materials for better bass as my room is carpeted.

Hi sir Jim, since I have replaced the stage & seat riser in concrete from wood I get a more solid bass. I have a parametric filter on my sub, I re calibrated once the HT room was rebuilt so difficult to give an accurate comparison & like doc also have carpet. Back in the UK I had carpet on top of wooden floorboards but mounted the speakers & sub on paving stones for a better sound.

Jammy is right, if you want more bass, then floating wood flooring will be a big help. But if you want tighter bass, concrete. Floating wood flooring, gives additional bass because it usually vibrates with your sub. It's like those under-the-seat transducers, hence the feeling of extended bass. Kung gusto mo ma-feel yun wala, try lifting your foot from the wooden flooring. You can have concrete flooring slabs and put those exotic yakal wood on top naman.

I placed some elmers glue in the catches of the metal cover of the SVS to keep them mounted while the sub outputs strong bass. I think it wasn't a good idea as the metal cover is now emitting some "static" sounding noise during strong bass scenes.

Hopefully I can detach the covers again without damaging the catches. Hayz!

Your set up looks good doc.

Thanks George. Have been hiatus for awhile and haven't been using the HT for quite sometime. I had a 2 day leave when I had visitors for the weekend and since they wanted to play and watch, I am back again fixing the setup.

I thought the M&K subwoofer with its 75 watts rated output and with the sealed design wouldn't deliver the bass I needed. I was thinking that the reviews were just paid ones to help sell the product. The first time I hooked it up it was kinda weak. I then added more in the subwoofer level output of the receiver and placed the gain at 12 o clock.  It filled my bedroom with quality bass in both music and movies. I even had to tone down the gain as the bass was overpowering my bookshelves.

First time M&K owner here. Trully happy with it.
