UFC is going out of business na !!!  ;D heehehe PRide already got the their Nevada licensing agreement and will be holding events in the US !!!! Next year in Nevada Pride will rock !!! They might even have pride versus K1 there too ! Best fighters and best matches. Watchout for the big grand showing ! About the UFc thing going out of business loko lang but I read that they are really concerned with Pride going completely global. All the best are contracted with PRide including the whole Gracie clan.

Cause Pride is the most prestigous NHB event in the world. UFC is mostly low end and semi contractual fighters. And they earn like mga 5 times more in pride then fighting in UFC. And UFC is not exactly that well appreciated in hte US. I mean in the last pride event pare 90500 people came to watch in Japan (I was supposed to tape that for you hayop ang mga matchup).  ;D

These are the fouls in UFC:
Butting with the head.
Eye gouging of any kind.
Biting.
Hair pulling.
Fish hooking.
Groin attacks of any kind.
Putting a finger into any orifice or into any cut or laceration on an opponent.
Small joint manipulation.
Striking to the spine or the back of the head.
Striking downward using the point of the elbow.
Throat strikes of any kind, including, without limitation, grabbing the trachea.
Clawing, pinching or twisting the flesh.
Grabbing the clavicle.
Kicking the head of a grounded opponent.
Kneeing the head of a grounded opponent.
Stomping a grounded opponent.
Kicking to the kidney with the heel.
Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his head or neck.
Throwing an opponent out of the ring or fenced area.
Holding the shorts or gloves of an opponent.
Spitting at an opponent.
Engaging in an unsportsmanlike conduct that causes an injury to an opponent.
Holding the ropes or the fence.
Using abusive language in the ring or fenced area.
Attacking an opponent on or during the break.
Attacking an opponent who is under the care of the referee.
Attacking an opponent after the bell has sounded the end of the period of unarmed combat.
Flagrantly disregarding the instructions of the referee.
Timidity, including, without limitation, avoiding contact with an opponent, intentionally or consistently dropping the mouthpiece or faking an injury.
Interference by the corner.
Throwing in the towel during competition

Basically all you need to win the fight can't be done. ;D Elbowing an opponent to the spine or head is illegal? Come on, how the heck do you retaliate if he goes for your waist? ;D

Where did you see the rules? You're right, with so much rules, eh how can one defeat an oponent?

This occured the time SEG was pulled out as the company who used to own UFC.. And upon FUZZA took over ground set rules were applied up to present...

I was disappointed with "The Beast" / Shamrock second superfight. They were not too keen in mixing it up. Although Severn won, both did not deserve any accolades for that fight.

My faves are Predator Don Frye at Sakuraba. Though, Frye got beaten by Coleman sa UFC 10 and sa last fight niya sa Pride. But a 14-2 MMA record is nothing to sneeze at.

The dominance of Sakuraba over the Gracie family is nothing short of amazing. Tinalo niya si royler, ryan, another one I can't recall and the UFC legend ROYCE (!!!). I want to get all of this guy's fights on tape...

D*mn, I'm salivating over the prospect of the  Rickson Gracie-Sakuraba showdown. Anybody know why this has not happen yet? ***Rickson is undefeated (9-0) in MMA NHB fights and has masa funaki in his list of victims.

***ok,  granting rickson's old, but he claims to be undefeated after 500 fights(!)

Xage

I'll try to get it pag meron pero I'm waiting kasi for a sakuraba compilation tape sa ebay. Anyway it probably won't change the way I look at sak "the gracie killer" since it was his first mma fight... ;D

Coleman was really affected by UFC subsequent rule changes kaya he never continued his dominance. Pride na lang... di ba he won the Grand Prix?

Tank Abbot will return to the octagon to face Kimo(?)  :P

I guess they'll dance all night again... UFC 41 has some intriguing match-up, though, for the heavyweight fight, champ ricco vs. ufc newcomer tim sylvia..heh, no Barnett yet in the immediate future..

UFC 42 is something to wait for.... Lidell vs. Tito!

I chanced upon UFC while in a hotel in Davao recently.  All I can say is it sure beats the hell out of watching a boxing match.

That Royce Gracie has awesome technique to beat much larger oponents.  I want to see more. Available kaya on video?  Where?
