Recommend a cd player

Plano ko kasi bumili ng cd player ikakabit ko muna sa HK 235 ko, wala pa kasi ako pambili ng integrated amp eh... My budget (10K - 15K max) ano ba mas maganda NAD or Rotel? Or meron kyo mas maganda recommendation for my budget...

I am trying to organize a group buy for the Bada CDP, the more participants, we might get the CDP to lower price by 1-2k.

sir, try nyo audition ang NAD C521BEE, swak na swak sa budget nyo ;).......i have it paired w/ my NAD C320BEE Integrated Amp. & i can say that this is probably the best "bang for the buck" combo there is :o.......i also have the Rotel RCD-1072 cdp w/c may be better in dynamics & details but it costs more than double the price of the NAD 8)

Natatakot kasi ako bumili na NAD kasi dami ko nababasa na negative review sa mga cdp nila but in fairness maganda sya tumunog para sakin...

I had the same predicament. After reading a lot of write ups regarding NAD here in the Philippines, I turned my research on other brands instead, like Rotel, Cambridge and Usher. I have inquired each of the distributors of those brands and found Usher to be best value for the money without sacrificing quality and after sales support. Although Rotel and Cambridge are great brands, the price is just a little over my budget.

Eventually, I bought UsherAudio's CD-1 CDP a few days ago and so far it's been great. You can read odyo's write up regarding CD-1 being compared to Rotel's RCD-02 through the link below. Architectural Audio is the distributor for Usher. I know they have a demo unit of the CD-1 CDP in their store. However, I got mine from Taiwan through a friend.

'di naman siguro ganon ka grabe ang kawalan ng QC ang NAD & besides may warranty naman ;)........both my NAD cdp & amp. were pre-owned ng ma-acquire ko so tried & tested na sila before dumating sa akin kaya hindi ako kinabahan ;D ;D ;D

Di ba mas nakakatakot nga bumili ng pre-owned units kasi di mo alam yung history ng unit na binibenta syo, unless kilala mo talaga yung seller...

kasama talaga yang risk sa pagbili ng pre-owned gears kaya nga mas mura sya sa brand new & you really have to rely on the assurances made by the seller ;D.......kaya nga mas mainam kung kakilala mo sya or okay ang reputasyon nya 8)

well said sir classicman... magmumuni muni muna ako ng husto... But i think babagsak din ako sa NAD... hehehe... Yun lang kasi ang pasok sa budget ko eh... Or IPON nalang muna to get a Rotel...

you'll get more accurate advises on your search for the right cd player in your system if you will also post your existing gears such as speakers, IC, speaker wire, rack and the kind of music you mostly listen to.  Me tinatawag din kasing system matching... you may have the most advance and expensive cdp but if it will not match your system in terms of your taste, sayang lang.  Saw several system from some guys here with surplus cdps but sounded real superb.  Sound is subjective.  You have to find that sonic nirvana for yourself.
