I wouldn't worry about it. There is a licensing fee that comes with reproducing the THX logo and adding the optimizer to individual DVD releases on a per region/per country basis.
The fact is, the Region 3 version contains the same video track and the same "Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix" (in Digital 5.1) as the R1 version. What the THX certification means is that Disney's DVD master met the strict performance criteria for video and audio playback as supervised by THX engineers. Now if you decide to watch
Aladdin in Mandarin or Cantonese, that's a different story. It's likely those 2 tracks were
not submitted to THX for evaluation -- another possible reason for the missing certification.
So the R3 version may not have the seal of approval in black and white, but you're still getting the real deal.
