Some titles have 'Imported' DVD9 and 'budget' DVD5 versions, which is why they are priced differently. Geisha, Rent, Black Hawk Down, Capote among them...

Sale is really good, better than most Makati Sale (because stocks are more plentiful) but not as good as the MOA sale (which I missed - based on postings here).

This is one good DVD: fine movie. Fine packaging. But most people skip it at ful price kasi, compared to other editions (R1, and HK R3), walang postcards and map, and despite what's written on the back - wala yatang dts. At 299, however, it's a major bargain, it's a steal even. Not to mention, that you will have fun looking for misspellings on the back cover.

I got myself a second copy (since I already bought one at full price). Sort of backup, since this is one movie that got plenty of use here at home...

Batman Anthology
I really don't know what to make of this one... priced at 2500 regularly, but the individual parts could be had for 1400 (350 each@, although Batman Returns is now out-of-stock). So 1100 for the box?

During this sale, it's 1200, so you are still getting it cheaper though. Even if available, I might have skipped on it, kasi I already have Batman Returns.

The 2500 was the anthology's inroductory price. During this time, the individual movies were selling for I believe 650 each. Thus, it was not originally priced at 350. The reduction in price of the individual movies only began a little over a week ago just at the same time Batman Returns was running out of stock. Coincidence? Probably not.

Thus Warner hasn't reduced the price of the anthology. Question now would be would you rather have the incomplete version of the Batman movies at 350 each without Batman Returns or the complete set via the anthology at 2500?

Batman Anthology: Thousand peso question... So those who want the complete set should rush to The Podium today. I don't think it is a permanent price reduction...2500 uli iyan bukas - same as in PinoyDVD.biz.

I got the Jarhead 2 disc edition for P475. With regards to the Batman Anthology, it might be better to buy the individual titles as the boxed set might not have the individual cardboard slipcases that the single release have.

Yup walang individual slipcases yun boxed set. Problem is wala na rin copies ng Batman Returns na individual. So di mo rin talaga makokompleto.

Wala talaga. Look at my complains on Magnavision packaging in R3 board...

Cheap talaga ang packaging ng Gladiator EE, very low quality, even the outer plastic says cheap... pero okay na rin at sale price, the discs and the movie themselves are very good.

I meant before the sale.

With the sale kasi yun Batman Anthology 1,299 na lang. So mas makakamura ka pa rin to get the boxed set.

Now if it reverts back to 2,500 tomorrow...then it's better to get them individually.

Wala na sa PinoyDVD.biz, so probably wala na sa Warner Philippines. Completists should snap up those at Astro Podium, before they run out, and chances are...they won't be replenished. I could be wrong though, as I am not privy to any inside info...

Nag-hinayang tuloy ako na hindi ko kinuha ang Batman Anthology. Oh well, sana meron pa sa next sale. Or I might just get the individual dvds...

Napaka-ilap niyang Nanny McPhee na iyan! I looked for it in the Astro SM Makati sale, pero out of stock, pero meron naman sa Astro Glorietta kaso di naman sale (Midnight Madness noon eh).

Was there yesterday after noon. Daming tao sa mall. hehehe

checked out the titles on sale sa podium sale and was able to get the Gladiator 3 disc.

Got also a Mickey Mouse DVD for my kids.

Wala pa rin talaga yung mga hard to find na movies especially the ones from Disney.

the only copies of Casanova and Goal were included in the sale on Saturday (the only day i didn't go) :'( when i asked the Viva sales people sabi nila wala na stock! :'( :'( :'(

Just went to return a scratched dvd that I bought during the sale. Excellent customer service by the Podium staff. We went through two sealed dvds and guess what, most of them were either scratched up or very dusty. One even had a piece of hair inside the keepcase!!

Finally got a mint copy at the third try. Let this be a reminder to everyone to check the dvd first before leaving the store. After paying that is,hehe. Peace!

I can't remember the others I've bought pero nakakaalaska lang ang ibang sales ladies when they saw my haul. They were pointing to my basket and said "yan ang sabik..." $:-\$ I'm sure there were other people buying more DVDs than me.

There was this chinese lady (i think the one who owns the store) who was giving me a lot of dvds and telling me to buy them. One of them was Aeon Flux which the price was a tempting P475. I had to beg off kasi wala nako pera!!! :'(

Well, some of them also contained damages inside the disc (i.e. moisture, milky streak, or whatever you call it). Glad to hear that your dvd is fine

Anyone been to The Podium, the past two-days? Nagbalik ba sa 900 at 750 'yun Chronicles Of Narnia, Sound of Music at, Walk The Line? Just wanted to know kung permanent price reduction na ang mga title na iyan katulad ng Toy Story/Toy Story 2...

Here in SM Manila, they returned it to full price after the 3-day Sale last weekend. But you can still find The Family Stone and In Her Shoes at 299 from SM record bar...

Ongoing Sale yata sa Araneta Center until the 8th of this month, hindi ko lang alam kung kasama ang mga DVD/Video shops...

Walk The Line and Narnia, hindi pa yata...except some shops.

Despite the advertised sale at Araneta Center, regular price sa Odyssey Gateway. So looks like hindi kasama DVD sa sale...

Well the podium sale was quite disappointing from what I expected and told. But due to the traffic and the time spent of going there, I just looked at the bright side...got several dvds nonetheless. SM MOA was I think the lowest and better sale in recent Mallwide sales for the year but well the year is not yet over so we could expect much more especially since there are a lot of good titles coming out till December. And true to the others who had said it may have been directed to those who had just started collecting or had missed great titles in the previous sales. Unfortunately for me though I did went to the other sales
