Newbie question... How do you record on an external HDD?

Patulong sa mga nakakapagrecord sa skycable digibox nila using external hard drive.  Anong file system ng hard drive dapat?  NTFS?  Fat32?

Guys need your opinions, any good wireless headphones while watching tv/ movies late at night? Di ko kasi malakasan ung audio ng tv ko dahil tutulog ng mga bata...
I heard sennheiser rs 170 or 180... Anu ba mas ok dun or anymore better that those 2 hp?

I tried using my son's Beats by Dre headphones and I love it!  Not sure how much. I'm not so in to headphones so I'm not sure if this is a good brand but I'm happy with it.  Love the sound.

New channel I found in DualDef 999,  HITS SD on Channel 137.


This is such a cool channel. Parang wtbs channel sa America dati. Television reruns, cool man.

Yup.  Previously received a namecard via snail mail, and weeks ago, an SMS from SKYSERVES providing the number of the assigned mySKY concierge.  Had problems with cable TV last weekend but in minutes, problems were fixed.  Response to phonecalls was also a breeze (main call center number was difficult to contact and are most of the time left unanswered).

May signal problem kami since March. Garbled ang picture at putul-putol ang sound kapag umuulan. May naka-experience na ba sa inyo ng ganito?

April and May were no electricity months here in Davao, kaya di masyadong na-obserbahan ang issue. We decided to re-align our subscription in June kasi nagpadala ng letter ang Sky na magtataas na ang rates nila. So we went from Silver 780 + extra channels + extension to HD 999 para saktong 1000 na lang kada buwan. But the signal issues persisted.

Marami-rami na ring technician ang pumunta:
1st tech = substandard cable daw ang ginagamit namin; pinalitan ang cable
2nd = measured signal strength from the socket outside the house; nilagyan ng regulator device ang HD box
3rd = pinalitan ang regulator device ng HD box
4th = inakyat ang poste at may kinalikot
5th = ito ang service technician namin from years ago; baka sa main na raw ang problem; antay lang daw for maintenance routine nila

July has passed. Malapit nang matapos ang August. Our signal issue has worsened. Kahit cloudy lang, di umuulan... garbled na ang picture at sira ang sound. Last Sunday, August 17th was probably the worst. Sira ang signal namin from 2PM to 7AM the following morning.

Mukhang wala nang pag-asa to. Any suggestions? Should we switch to Cignal?

Ya if sky give you so much problem maybe you just switch to cignal and see how it goes.

+1 kulang na kulang ang troubleshooting nila. Dapat meron sa kanilang committed na mag check ng connection end to end.

Pero kung 5 months na and i still have problems and have no cable i will switch. Cignal or sky man, 5 months is too much. Diba yun cignal din after this typhoon dami pa rin walang cable? That's great to hear sir. The usual problem I have (but not often), sometimes nawawala yun hd channels ko. So from my remote just press the channel scan button and it comes back. Other than that no major problems so far.

No problem with us in Davao (so far)...HOWEVER, I noticed from time to time, locked channels are being unlocked...maybe to lure subscribers to get these exclusive channels (i.e. HBO package, all HD channels, etc.) :D

Their stock battery is crap. Yun mga china made na ma corrode agad. For me change to energizer.

Pangit ang remote ng Sky box, kelangan talagang naka tapat at naka tutok sa unit, maiba ka ng angle ng konti di na gagana...

Pag nasira ba remote, pwede mag request ng Bago? Magkano kaya? Para kasing di tatagal yung remote eh..

We've been with Skycable since 1998, if I remember correctly. It was carrying the name Davao Cableworld Network, Inc. back then. Now that name is just a small print on our billing statement. All those years, the same ang kable sa poste hanggang sa bahay. Nasa labas lang ng gate ang poste. I just realized that we've been with Sky for so long, so I'm having second thoughts regarding switching cable providers.

Nakakapanood pa naman kami kahit papaano. Parang scheduling nga lang, LOL. Sa ngayon, matino ang signal, HD o SD, from 8am - 2pm. A month ago, tuwing umuulan lang sira ang signal. Mostly around 8pm ang ulan nun. Tumitino naman after 2-4 hours. Ngayon malala na talaga. Mawala lang ang sunlight and the wind picking up beyond 2PM, sira na ang signal. Hanggang 7am na yan the following morning. If you could just imagine our situation now...

Hingi na lang siguro ako ng rebate next month.

Yun din duda ko una. Pero maski gamitin ko yung contral sa box. Ayaw din. Usually pag lipat mo ng channel after a few seconds nawawala na yung info bar sa baba.
