How to program Universal remote on Generic DVD players
« on: Nov 07, 2006 at 07:41 AM »
Is there a way? Actually this is for a friend. He tried looking for the 3 digit code of his nextbase so that he can control it with his universal remote.. but we cant find any. Is there a list out there that has the 3 digit code of nextbase/xenon/orange/etc with corresponding models so that we may program it with our universal remote?

Thanks.

check the documentation of the remote control. it should have a list of codes for various brands.

usually, if you don't have the code for your unit, the remote can look it up for you. they have a feature by which you input some sequence, point it at your equipment... and wait till something happens. usually the unit will power down when the remote finds your unit's code. i'm not too sure if there's a chance your generic might be in there though. if not, your only choice would be a learning remote, by which you would also need the original one.

the documentation of the remote control doesn't have the list for generic dvd players...

so there's no easy way.. like, just giving out the code.. papagastusin ka pa. hahaha.

yun remote ng dvd player ng kids ko was broken few months ago, fortunately I was able to purchased a generic remote control na nagwork on Pensonic, player; cost only 130php at MCS  :)

you may try this codes: 007, 017 or 019

baka po magwork yan, since those are generic codes listed for other player on the remote manual.
