Got my package at our local post.  It was shipped via PBIMEX last Oct. 23, 2007 and was received last Nov 5 at our local post.  Just got it today kasi free time ko ngayon.  Not bad for PBIMEX.  It seems that they are fast now compared a few months ago.

bro james, this holiday season we may expect delays from our POs?

Amazon shipments i think comes earlier than we expect, problem maybe the transition from the PO's sorting station to our local POs.

Medyo may delay but it's not that long.  For the past years pag Royale Logistics halos parehas lang like regular season.  In P.O. however delays are 1 to 2 weeks but usualy its the same.  Wala na kasi masyadong nagoorder like years back.  You're probably right.  Problem may be at out local sorting procedure.

Guess I'm not affected since I'm already using JAC.

Anyway, did they specify the reason why?

no. they only charge once it ships, but the fact that you were able to cancel means it didnt.  :)

If there is a price drop after a few days, can I ask for a rebate or something? How do I go about it? ???

recently placed a 3-set set order shipped nov 9, unfortunately amazon split them into 2 shipments  :P

2 sets via DHL (GM)  ;D
1 set via PBIMEX (AM)  :'(

My DHL (GM) packaged arrived earlier than expected, however  :-\

My PBIMEX (AM) package with an ETA Nov 29 hasn't arrived yet & I suspect that it is lost already.  I emailed Amazon Customer Service & opted to ask for a replacement, they charged my CC $30.47 for the replacement (inclusive S/H), original package costed $18.14 only, they confirmed that they will refund back the $30.47 in 5 working days.

The increase of $12.33 from the original amount is caused by their shift to the original Standard International Shipping to Expedited International Shipping, which cut down the ETA to 10 days.

This is my first time for this kind of transaction, from your experience, do they really refund the charging in 5 working days?

TIA

Don't worry bro, if Amazon said they'll refund it, they surely will. And most of the time its less than 5 working days ;)  I get this a lot because Amazon keeps on changing my shipping option to "Ship items as they become available" if one of the items is a preorder. Although I prefer if they'll just decrease the shipping balance, because as we know the dollar conversion in our credit cards is way different during debit and credit.

Maybe someone has posted this observation before, but this thread is so long ...

I just received 3 packages which I ordered from Amazon, through Johnny Air, all electronics. One of them was purchased directly from Amazon while the other 2 were through third-party sellers.

I had to pay a huge amount of shipping (to JAC) for the item which was purchased directly from Amazon, because they put the boxed item inside an even bigger box. The problem is that I got charged almost double the shipping cost because of the increase in volume.

The other 2 items came from third party sellers and they just sent the original box. Kaya ang baba sobra ng shipping costs.

My lesson: If you are buying electronics items from Amazon and shipping to Manila via JAC or some other forwarder, it's better to purchase from third-party vendors at Amazon, and not from Amazon directly. Anyhow, Amazon still guarantees purchases from third parties. Besides, ang bilis din talaga ng shipments ng third-party vendors.

how can you tell kung GM or AM yung package nyo? when i make an amazon order, di ko alam kung saan ko makikita kung GM or AM yung akin. i always use standard shipping. pang-expedited or priority shipping lang ba may ganyang code?

thanks!

^^ Every time you place you order you get an email form Amazon.com confirming your order. It's in that e-mail where you will find the info on what carrier is handlinbg your order.

Hi guys, I recently ordered DVDs from Amazon and was shipped using Expedited Internaitonal Shipping. I was giving a tracking number that starts with "GM", is there any to track on where my package is? The confirmation email sent to me only gave me the tracking number.

Based from my experience, there's no difference between Standard and Expedited shipment mode if delivery address is in the Phils. It will still pass thru Royale Logistics given the GM code and the tracking number provided by Amazon is useless if you're looking for ways to track it online.
