my current setup

c: polk cs10
Onkyo TX-NR709
sub : boston acoustics ASW250

Thank you!

If your already using a Polk Audio center and bookshelf, why don't you consider the Polk Audio TSX330 floorstanding. It will match your other speakers better then the B&W and Q acoustics.

Is the difference of Polk CSi A4 sa A6 eh worlds apart?

Will I hear a huge change from my measly cs10 center speaker? I rarely put the volume beyond 40 in my Onkyo 515 AVR.

hello mga sir,
pa recommend po ng slim/compact surround speakers, currently I just have 2 options in mind:
Tannoy Mercury Vr and Polk Audio owm3
I personally saw Tannoy Mercury Vr already and I like its slim form factor, I'm just not sure if it will blend well with my current setup (sound wise).
My current setup is AVR Pioneer 523k and Wharf Dentons for fronts.
Please recommend a surround speaker that will have a good match with my current setup.
Budget around 10k
Thanks!  :)

For me, yes you will hear a huge difference in your set-up. 60-75% of the sound comes from the speaker.

AVShop sa Kalayaan, or Sound & Vision sa Banaue. They are regular sellers here in PDvd. Try to search their number and ask muna kung may stock sila.

parecommend naman po ng 2.0 bookshelf speakers, ikakabit ko lang sa optical out ng tv ko.

nothing fancy po, pampalakas lang sa mga mahinang source.

yung direct na po makakabit sa out ng TV.  Active ba yun, or powered (sorry newb).  ganun.

mostly movies and TV series po gagamitin.

JBL concept stores (MegaMall, SM North, and Bonifacio High Street), Sound & Vision (Banawe), Automatic Appliance Centers. I think Listen Up/ The Listening Room has this soundbar too.

Hi guys.

I'd like to ask for your recommended speakers. I plan to replace my satellites, which are Polk Audio Blackstone TL1600. I have long since upgraded my fronts and centers and sub, so the finishing touch would be the four-piece upgrade.

However, I'm in a difficult situation. My speakers are much higher than the suggested feet for optimal surround experience. If I remember correctly, they are 3 feet above ear level. Plus, they are above the sliding mechanism of my drapes with less than an inch of allowance only.

I looked at the Blackstone TL3 speakers, which are similar in size but with a lower frequency response (90hz, mine's 120hz). I don't think there would be a susbtantial improvement on the strength of my surrounds.

I need suggestions for speakers that are similar in size but would mean a noticeable (read: a great upgrade) improvement on my surrounds and surround backs. I was suggested the OMW3, but I read that the height is 10 inches. I can only afford something like 7 inches, but if they could be mounted horizontally and have the same effect then the better.

Also, are there bipoles on the same size range?

Lastly, they should obviously be available here in the Philippines, and how much are the speakers? Thanks in advance!!!

For reference: my fronts are Polk Audio TSi 300's, my Center's CS 10.

As much as I would love to get TSi 300's as my surrounds, the room wouldn't allow it to happen. (If you have time, I've posted mine over at HT Gallery under XPeak's Home Theater)

And like I've posted, the size of the "upgrades" would have to be similar to my existing speakers.

The bookshelves of Polk Audio ranges from 12" to 14" of height, which is too tall and will hit a lot of furniture on the room such as the drapes mechanism, curtain coves, etc.

My sats: http://www.polkaudio.com/products/tl1

I know it's a difficult situation, but I do know know much with regards to brands, etc... Thanks in advance, sir.

You can mount a bigger speaker sideways instead of nakatayo.

If wala talagang makita sir, baka pwd DiY n lang nang bracket na a bit forward or may spacer just enough d tatama s drapes. Para within pa rin s 3ft s ear level at 90-110' un side surround.  Then FXi A4 / A6.

Thanks for all the ideas.

I can actually fit OMW3, but it would require weird placement. Ung sa left ko horizontal, sa right naman vertical, sa likod both verticals. Hehe. Hindi ba maaapektuhan ang soundfield?

I'm looking at OMW3's based on Frequency Response.

I'm also looking for speaker mounts as suggested by crazyhog.

Thanks guys!
