Mga masters, last n po. Hingi ako ng final opinion. Bibilhin ko n ksi sya e. Crown BF-655 floor standing speaker. Then ncompare s gear nila? Can you share and describe the sound, compared to my experience in my initial comments? Gusto ko lng magadjust ng expectations and perspective e. Pra next upgrade ko lm ko n hhnpin ko. Thanks mga sers. Pardon my irritating character.  >:D

Actually may thread na dito ata for crown speakers.

Nag try ako ng cd na Round up and Mcintosh ref cd, audiophile voice. Ok na rin yan for the meantime. 400 wpc. Nabili namin yun last year 11K combo. speakers and amp. Pwede na rin. Pero mas ok sana kung Mas magandang amp 100wpc and above.

Tried it with another amp sir? Ung audiophile grade. hehe.  How did it go? Then with a dedicated DAC din? Bumalik ako dun nung nkraan. As suspected na initial reaction nga lng ako. Silly. Pero pde nga. XD Mlkas at the same time acceptable. Pero may sharpness and shrilness sya n mskit sa tenga. . amf. Not sure kung s pesteng sakura un. . .Had you noticed din ba any form of compression with normal listening level? . . Pero okay nto skin, Tma k dun s binding post. yagit. haha. And if I remember hndi yung gold plated diba? Tnx s opinion sir. :-)

Havent tried it in my set up. I have few vintage amplifiers didnt have a time to bring it to my tito's haus for critical listening. But what ive tried was to use my xindak speaker cables, becoz something happend to his sakura amp and initially he thought it was his speaker cables. In my opinion, u dont need a dac if your soft ware is from cd player or turntable.  cdp's has a dac inside. i use dac if my music is from my cpu, celfone...For sure mababago ang tunog kung ibang amp gagamitin mo. Kc speaker cables palang ang pinalitan ko nag iba na agad ang timpla ng speakers wat more if amplifier. di ba? About compression listening, talaga compressed ang tunog sa kanila. Sa palagay ko, We should not expect to much with their set up. Saka there's always a room for improvement.

hi, im resetting my system and cant seem to decide on best direction...can you pls give me an advise?... im searching for Floor standing speakers (budget at aprox p100k)  which will match well my AR V70 power amp (min 60watts/channel) with a matching Rouge Magnum preamp. location of set up is in an irregular shaped Living Area (aprox 50sqm). im into soft music, vocals, min base. im concern on the '60watt/channel' rating of my unit since most towers requires high watt-ranges and i fear buying a speaker that may not provide all the potentials of the system....help please! thank you.

Get speakers with sensitivity of 90db and up. That will lessen the load on your amp.

thank you very much for the info... with that 90db rating, can it then be safe to get a speaker with a 40 to 250W recommended power? am i not bordering on a 'minimal allowance' since mine is in a minimum 60watts/channel only? im looking at the Focal Chorus 826v tower speakers with 91.5db.... hmmm?

To be safe, try looking at speakers with minimum recommended power of 20w. I have some suggestions but are above your budget. Or you may the try the DIY route with Audio Nirvana and Mark Audio.

60 watts is already a lot of power for soft music, unless you want concert levels in a large room. The difference between 60 watts and 120 watts is only 3dB. 10 dB is considered twice as loud. to get twice as loud from 60 watts, you would need about 500 watts of power :)

What you can do is bring your pre/power amp to a store and try it with the speakers your considering. My speakers is sensitivity 87 dB and I have driven it to relatively loud levels with a mere 20 watts of power.

thank you very much qguy. il exactly do that...bring my amp to the store to make sure of my purchase. by the way, whats the difference between sensitivity on 'Anechoic chamber' and 'Listening room'? i was absent in school when my electronic teacher was teaching this.  ;D
I also saw a tower speaker in the net with a 20-300watts rating and sensitivity of 90db (listening room) and 88db (anechoic chamber). will this be great for my Audio Research V70 power amp?

Anechoic room, a room where the sound is absorb when it hits the wall, the sound does not go back to the mic.

Listening room, your "typical" listening room with reflective walls, so sounds is bounced back into the mic making the measurement for the sensitivity louder.

Gamit ko po is LG LA6200 as my TV

Mainly for movies po and music setup sana. Thank you po.

^ THank you sir for reminding , sa living room po ito approximately 22sqm. im not sure sa budget sir , mejo tight po. bang for the buck sana. im currently using a logitech z623 with my TV. medyo bitin lang ako. im thinking of adding studio speakers(edifier studio). But for a moment i thought its not wise , might as well go for DIY HT setup. thanks!

Nasa Php5-6k ata ang edifier studio speakers. Kung yan din ang budget niyo sir, i would suggest huwag na kayong mag-DIY because amplifier pa lang would cost you at least 3k. Drivers & enclusure baka kulangin na ang 3k. best if you look around for preowned items here in PDvd. Kung maka-timing ka ng 3k na amp and 3k na pair of speakers, swak na.

I'm assuming multi-channel setup ang plan mo. With that budget, pwedeng unahin mo na muna ang receiver and 2 speakers for your left and right channel. Then center speaker and sub naman ang kasunod.
You can get a receiver for less than P10k dito sa marketplace ng Pdvd. Yun sukli mo, pambili ng speakers. My friend has small speakers for sale for P1k a pair. May 2-3 pairs pa ata yun nasa akin. Not that I'm hard selling pero baka yun lang ang pumasok sa budget mo, complete pa ang surround speakers mo. Wala pa akong makitang speakers dito below P2k a pair. Sub na lang ang next target mo.
