Ayala Makati Midnight Madness Sale again this weekend, June 1, 2 and 3. For the past year, Ayala Malls sales have overtaken the Podium when it comes to giving the best bargains!

When Ayala Malls go on midnight madness, all of the following stores usually carry discounts:

Astroplus SM Makati (3rd floor)
SM Record Bar (1st floor)
Astro Glorietta (newly renovated, so expect good stocks)
Tower Records Glorietta
Music One Greenbelt 3
"O" Music Video Greenbelt 1
Landmark CD/DVD section
Odyssey Park Square

All these open at around 10 am. Some of the prices vary from one store to another so DVD enthusiasts usually pass by multiple stores to check.

Wow! So I guess the MGM DVDs are really down to P100! Maybe they are getting rid of their stocks. Now, if only there are still some James Bond DVDs left, masaya sana.

Just back read exactly 9 posts above your post. All the different DVD stores in Ayala Makati which usually participate in this sale are listed there. If you're referring to El Zar's post, I think he meant Astro SM Makati.

At "O" store in greenbelt, I saw a few copies of Cars & Ice Age 2 selling for P299 each. Also selling for that price are Pirates of the Carribean 1 & 2 and My Super-ex-Girlfriend.

From there, I bought the ff:

I went there around 11:30 this morning. They were just arranging the racks during that time. The Magna titles I bought still didn't have sale tags on them. It was only by asking a friendly salesperson that I learned that some new Magna titles were on sale. I don't know if now they already put sale tags on the said items. By the way, these Magna titles, as of 12:00 PM, ARE NOT part of Astro Glorietta's marked down items.

I went to Astro Makati this morning. The sale isn't all that great, the stocks are very limited. You won't see stacks of DVDs piled up on the floor and on the counter like what we're used to. The same goes for Astro Glorietta. The P100 DVDs that are worth buying are: Silence of the Lambs, Terminator 1 SE, Windtalkers SE, A View to a Kill, A View From Above, and Streetcar Named Desire.

Maybe they'll get a new shipment tomorrow?

i was at odyssey park square last friday. was really out to look for music cd's so headed straight to the cd racks. but after i had bought a few titles i saw this 3 for 600 dvd's. i remember getting "gods must be crazy", the lost world, back to the future, the replacement killers. hmmm, can't remember the others.

It does really happen. Take for instance Tower Records, kahit naka mall wide sale ang Glorietta, they are not as aggressive as Astro in terms of "sale" items. Discretion yata nila yan. Im not sure if you can complain tho'.

The sale is lame to me, especially the astros. Not much new in terms of pricing from before. We need a bonanza sale, 299's down to 200 or something. 333's down to 299. That for sure will be sale of the year. Hehe wishful thinking but that may happen. IMO The best to me is tower records, music one, O and landmark on this makati sale now in terms of pricing and selection on the 299's and 100's. For the magna parang the same. In fact the sale at the smart center is way better. For example, I did not even see United flight 93 at discounted price( maybe I missed it somewhere). At QC, its already at 333 ata. Just a sample title im saying..

IMO The 299 and 100 deals are the best, Not much surprise on the 199 warners. The best of the best I saw was a 299 sticker on the tiger woods box set in Music one. I was stunned!! thats a thousand plus 4 disc box set. I dont know if it is a misprice. Im not into golf or tiger woods so I did not get it. I went ahead to O in gbelt and when I returned to music one that boxset was gone. I dont know if they have more Oh well did not ask...To me more selection for the 299 in tower, O and especially music one. I saw bruce almighty, hidalgo, and some others at 299(music one), I havent seen these for awhile.
